Casey
How glad are you that the Red Birds went after Matt Holiday?? I know they got him a week or so ago, but what do you think about the trade?? I liked the pick up a lot, got some protection around Pujols and another big slugger on the team means more hits and more RBIs for Pujols. I see another playoff run. mcgyverit
I am not really following the season that much, but from what I have seen, that trade lit a spark under some of the players. he will probably taper off here in a few weeks, but hopefully he can make more of a contribution than the players that we got rid of were. toddyboman
Holliday has been huge the last few weeks....Since Pujols is in a big slump right now.... As for the trade itself....IF they resign him to a long term contract then the trade is great....if they don't resign him then it was a dumb trade. IMO The addition of Holliday has given a spark to others on the team and has been very helpful so far....However there is still lots of baseball left to play
fly
Big time Cardinal fan here, but just haven't had the time to follow them this year. Can't afford to take the family to games any more either. Most people I've spoke with have had positive things to say about the move. When you're used to a great team like the Cardinals one sort of expects a playoff run every season (not like with that Chi town team that goes into early hibernation as soon as the weather starts getting cool).:saber::flex::poke:

fly
Must not be many Cub fans around here? Perhaps they have all converted to Red bird followers? Albert now leads the National League with 36 HR!
