lil hunter
After gettin off work a little early, I had some spare time to kill before going back to my other job for the night. I had found a nice used Glock 23 yesturday with only 1 clip put through it, so it is basicly in brand new condition. Had my dad run out to the gun store with me today so I could buy it! After buying my XDM earlier this summer, I discovered how fun pistol shooting really is, so I just had to get another one. lol. Hopefully I'll get some time off this week and be able to go shoot it. okiedog
I was not a big fan of Glocks until I bought one this year:D. They are shooters and fun to shoot as well. Enjoy it.
Strut10
You will enjoy the heck outta shooting your new Plastic Fantastic. Only thing better than owning a Glock is owning 2 or 3 or 4 of 'em. Glock & roll, baby!!!!!
johnf
Glocks are great little guns. Enjoy.
lil hunter
Went out and shot it some Saturday. I put about 80 rounds through it, and it jammed on me 2 or 3 times. I didn't clean it any before shooting like the manuel says to do, so I'm gonna break it down and clean it up real good before I shoot it again. I was kinda surprised, after all i've ever heard about Glocks, I've never seen complaints about jamming?

I've put thousands of rounds through my 3 and have only had one or two FTF's. Both were cast bullet reloads (which I shouldn't have been firing anyways) that had lead slivers on the outside of the casemouth. I should have inspected the reloads before firing. johnf
Make sure you're not "limpwristing" it. I did it a couple times and after talking with my neighbor whose a state trooper I changed my grip and haven't had any more problems. Put your trigger hand on the gun then wrap your off hand around your trigger hand use it to hold the gun with your trigger hand looser. This gives a stronger grip on the the gun and you will be less likely to pull off target when you're pulling the trigger. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jeraHx25QHc
hunterbobb
I'm not a fan of glocks, The triggers are terrible. You should have bought a Sig,
csualumni21000
Make sure everything is stock. Some people add parts which is not what you need on a glock. You can replace most anything that needs replacing cheaply.
lil hunter
I cleaned it the other day. Went shooting today, after about the 8th round it jammed on me again. This time it wasn't really a jam, the slide just locked back like the mag was empty. I racked the slide and continued shooting with no problem. I only shot 2 mags out of it today though. I don't know why it would do that. Last time I remember it was like 2 rounds came up out of the mag after the spent shell was ejected, so I just had to pull one of those rounds out and rack the slide to keep shooting. That ain't like a Glock. You've had 3x more jams in 2 weeks than I've had in 20 years............with 3 different Glock pistols. I'd call them and say "whaddup???". lil hunter
I'm gonna put a few more rounds through it, with different ammo before I call them. I did notice that there is a little burr on the trigger bar. It is at the very tip of the little piece that bends up. Do you think this could be a possible cause? It is not much, just rough enough that I can feel it if I rub my finger over it.
johnf
Have you shot a pistol much? I did have a couple jams with mine when I first got it. I did a little reading and found that I was limp wristing it. Since then I've had 0 jams.
lil hunter
I may have been limp wristing. I shot another 7 mags through it today with no problems. I need to go buy another case of ammo and put some more rounds through it to know for sure, but I at least trust it a little bit now.
