Just a little bored here looking to get my mind off a few things.

Sittin at home all alone. Most hunting sites have been slow so I started reading through some ghost forums for chits and giggles. I tell you what, there's some entertaining reading to be found out there by some super writers/story tellers.

Anybody got a good ghost story to tell here. Can't say I believe them all but some are so believable I can't say I don't .

If you ever want a pretty fascinating read, my cousin did his college thesis on this very subject. I can give you his website. He has his masters in Abnormal Pshyc and is a paranormal investigator. His one question that he wants to answer is..."Is seeing believing or is Believing seeing". Basically what makes people believe in the paranormal. Do you need an experience to believe or if you believe are you going to have a better chance at seeing.

While I have never had an experience, I believe there are things in this world that can't be explained.

I've only had one encounter myself, and I swear it was real! We were all up at my great uncle's for our yearly fishing trip in the spring about 6 or 8 years ago, a lot of us slept down in his basement. My cousin Chris was sleeping on the couch and I was on the floor about 15 feet away. I woke up in the middle of the night to this figure side stepping beside the couch he was sleeping on. It had sort of a purple glow around it and resembled a human. I called to Chris in a loud whisper but he didn't wake up, it vanished for a second then appeared on the other side of the room for a few seconds then it was gone. Geez the hair is standing up on my arms just thinking about it!:o:D I just put my face in my pillow and didn't look up again until I was asleep. Man it was creepy!

Not personally, but I've been told a story about my granddad that still gives me goose bumps as I tell it here. When he was in college, he was up late studying in the fraternity house where he lived. He got hungry so he started down towards the kitchen. When he reached the top of the stairs, there standing at the bottom of the stairs was his father, my great-grandfather in his suit and tie. My grandfather asked him what he was doing there, and so late. My great-grandfather looked up at him and said, "Son, it's everything I imagined it would be and more. Now go back to your room and sleep, you'll need the rest for your exam". So being the obedient son that he was my Grandfather went back to his room, turned out the light, and went to sleep. The next morning a frat brother woke him up to tell him he had a phone call. It was a family member telling him that his father (my great-grandfather) had passed away in his sleep.

I usually dont respond to these threads but just the other day my Wife came out of the bathroom saying she thought there was a ghost in there.

I said I was just in there and I didnt see anything dead or spooky.

Her point exactly...she could'nt see it but she knew something had died in there:hammer1:The ghost of Chili ;)
