sskybnd
:argue: they are making gold, went and picked up my new arrows to day, for the wy hunt, ordered 2 dozen, paid for 1 and he said he would keep the other dozen on hand to prevent from having to special ordering them for me. paid $100.00 for the arrows and $19.80 to have them fletched, and as he was fletching them, told me that after this order that the arrows will be going up double the price, hope they will last me this season. cant see paying $200.00 for a dozen for arrows. Ethan Givan
What kind of arrows are you buying? I can buy a dozen Gold tips for about $65.
ruttinbuc
A sign of the times. It seems that the harder the econmy the harder they hit you over the head. It is downright ridiculous what they are getting for some goods today. Everyone wants it and takes it when they can get it.

Straight Shooter
Sounds like the archery business is going to end up like the firearms and have guys start stock piling things and putting shortages on all achery supplies. Prices go up and they'll start doing it.
RangerClay
high country speed pro max arrows Woowee! You are shootin' them fancy arrows. I hear they are awful fast for you speed freaks. dbHunterNY
I wouldn't buy them. Can't really afford to with everything else. More power to you. lol I use Goldtip Expedition Hunter arrows. They perform good enough and are cheap enough for my needs. I can't see buying Goldtip Pro series or any high end arrows of a different brand. HUNTINGMAN
I had some of the speed pro arrows to try out , they gave me a our 30 feet per second more if I remember correctly. They were fast but they were not very durable, I busted just about all of mine just shooting at 3d targets. Hope you have. Better lick with them than I had. Doc
Sounds like the archery business is going to end up like the firearms and have guys start stock piling things and putting shortages on all achery supplies. Prices go up and they'll start doing it. That's exactly what I did a couple of decades ago. I have a bundle of old Easton gamegetter shafts and XX75 Autumn orange aluminum shafts that I accumulated over the years. Back then, the price of arrow shafting ran under $25 per dozen so I always bought plenty of extras. Now I have a bundle of arrow shafts that you can't get your fingers around using both hands. So at some point in the 80's, I stopped buying arrows and simply build up new ones from my stock pile as needed. No, I have not had the opportunity to get out and try some of the new carbons and such. But the fact is that I really don't have to. These old aluminums are still killing deer and still going exactly where I want them to go. I have also done the same thing with bows. I have a rack full of bows that I accumulated over the years, and I haven't had to buy a bow since the 80's. Furthermore, I don't believe I will ever have to buy another bow for the rest of my life. So the fact is that these greedy manufacturers can eat their over priced stuff as far as I am concerned. I have insulated myself against their greed, and am still shooting deer and doing adequate on targets as well. In fact, having a super-familiarity with all of my equipment probably has some advantages as well. Doc

Found that one of those big ebay stores/sellers on archery supplies has the absolute worst customer service.
