All About Your Hunting! [=

Alright I wanna know..

1. Weapons of choice (type of bow, arrows, caliber of rifle, etc.)..

2. Preferred game...

3. Places you have travelled to for hunting purposes

4. Anything else you wanna tell =D

I'll start.

I prefer my dad's custom 30-06 over any rifle really, have killed two deer and an elk with it. I used a .308 on my first deer.. and a .243 on a doe.

I shoot a Golden Eagle bow with custom Realtree wrapped carbon arrows :D

Out here in Montana I hunt mulies and elk, I love bowhunting for elk.

The only place I've gone for hunting is North Carolina, I won a hunt through the Hunters Helping Kids program, which was really lucky.

Let's hear about you other youth out there!

i guess i can still be considered a youth compared to some of you old farts out there lol. So Here i go. I love hunting with rifle, shotgun and bow. For rifles i have some customs wildcats like 25 gibbs, 270 gibbs, and a 7mm-300 Weatherby. I also shoot just a plain ole 270 Winchester, and a 300WSM which i shoot more than any of the others. I have 3 shot guns that i hunt with, a benelli montefeltro 20 ga. that i have had since my 12th birthday, a beretta extrema, and a remington 870. My bow is a mathews fx and i have killed maybe 10 deer with it and a bull elk. My preferred game is anything that moves really. I hunt doves till duck season opens, I bow hunt until rifle season, and then i rifle hunt during the general season. After that i hunt coyotes all winter, and then gophers in the spring. So i pretty much have year round hunting/shooting. I have traveled to Louisiana to hunt ducks and i have also bowhunted for wild boars down there also.

I guess im still considered a youth as well. I hunt just about everything that KY has a season for. I use my Martin bow for deer and turkey, a winchester 1300 20 ga. and Remington 870 12 ga. for turkey and upland game. A Savage .308 win. for deer. I also take out a Marlin .22 for small game, a Marlin .30-30 for deer occasionally and a Remington 700 BDL .243 for coyotes. I trap through the winter after other seasons are closed. So basically Im hunting and trapping for 9 months out of the year, and during the summer Im preparing for hunting along with farming.

Well since Cole posted, I will too. :D

I shoot a Hoyt Trykon bow that I just got this year. It's an 06 75th anniversary addition. I'm getting really comfortable with it and cannot wait to get it out in the field and hopefully shoot something with it! For rifles I have a Browning BLR .300 WSM for moose and deer, Ruger M77 Mark II .25-06 Rem for deer and wolves, and a FN Mauser Sporter .220 Swift for varmints which I still haven't even got the scope set up right on it, that's another story. Onto shotguns I have a Remington 870 Wingmaster 12ga I use for pretty much anything I hunt that has wings except for partridge. I have a Remington 812 single shot 20ga that Dad handed down to me that I still use sometimes for partridge. I'm letting my buddy use it for bird hunting since he doesn't have a shotgun of his own yet and just got into bird hunting last year. I also have a gorgeous Browning BPS 28ga limited edition. That's been my partridge gun since I got it last summer.

My preffered game is hard to pick! I like everything I hunt, I couldn't pick just one.

I haven't travelled anywhere yet to hunt, but I'd love to go and hunt big whitetails and/or mulies in Alberta/Saskatchewan someday!
