clayman
Re: SHOTGUN SHELLS It's not worth the hassle with steel shot. My dad shoots thousands of rounds in sporting clays shoots, so he does reload his target ammo. Usually on those cold winter days when there isn't much else to do. He'll reload enough to last him all year.

I do reload alot of bismuth for early season ducks and late season roosters. Other than I shoot a ton of targets in the year. I dont know if it saves money or not but its fun to tinker and find a great patter.
carbonhunter
Re: SHOTGUN SHELLS In would estimate about $300 bucks for a re-loader, dies(sp?), powder, shot, wads. Plus your gonna need a bunch of empty hulls and some load data..Lymans reloading bible is a good one. You will need a steel conversion kit if thats what ya plan on re-loading. too_pointer
Re: SHOTGUN SHELLS I reloaded both 20 ga. and 12 ga. for probably 15 years or more. I used to hunt ducks really heavy. This was while lead was still legal. I also shot trap and skeet. The savings was pretty large, plus I had duck loads that you couldn't buy anywhere. The steel shot shut me down also. You couldn't reload for steel for a few years, besides the early steel loads from the factory were horrible at first. I did really enjoy reloading though. I'm thinking of getting back into it for skeet and upland game. I agree, you can buy shells pretty cheap these days that do the job. I wish you could buy 20 ga. empties like you could 12 ga. that would sure make the difference. too_pointer
