fly
Anybody use the foot rest on the Summit stands? I'm wondering if the extra weight and added bulk is worth it?
Adjam5
My son Joe has one on his Viper stand, and he says he loves it. It takes the strain off your legs while your sitting, and while your standing it does not get in the way of drawing your bow. When you are comfortable, you can sit longer. Summits really help with being comfortable on stand.
mike13candace
Anything for comfort is worth the effort..
wtnhunt
The python model I have has a moveable footrest. The footrest pivots and can swing up to be made to be a gunrest during the rifle season. I use it during bowseason as a footrest. As far as using the footrest on your stand, guess you might try it both ways on atree in your yard and see if the footrest makes it more comfortable for sitting. fly
I'll give it a try on a day I plan to be out all day and don't have a long walk. Thanks all.
AaronS
I have it on my Viper and would not do without. It doesn't add much weight and really adds a lot to the comfort. Definitely worth it.
LifeNRA
I have one on my Goliath. Since I put one on, I would not have a stand without one! It really does take the pressure off the back of the thighs on long all day sit ins! I was a bit skeptical at first, so I made myself sit with out using it for a few hours. My legs started falling asleep and I just could not sit still. Not good while bow hunting!
dlriggins
ever been hunting all day and your feet and legs fall asleep I havent had that problem in years. with the minimum of weight and the increased comfort invest it will be the greatest thing since sliced bread
lil hunter
I almost bought one for my new summit the other day. They were like $40 at bass pro though. I thought sheesh thats expensive and walked out the door without it. The more I read and think about it though, the more I wish I would've bought it. Oh well maybe I can find one locally, or just order one before season starts.
