nemodeerhuntersneighbor
I have posted this video before but i am curious to see what everybody thinks the inside spread is on this deer? You might have to pause it at the beginning to get a good look. I am guessing 20-21. I'll post the best pic I have of him. Also what about score. I'm thinking mid 130 gross maybe a little higher. ruttinbuc
20"
Tom2008
20" Agreed on the 20" inside. If not 20" then maybe 19". I'll about 130" also.
Adjam5
I'd say in the 24" range and in the 130-140 class.
JKAPP01
looks like one i saw shot last year.....tough to say exactly in velvet but i say 22" why don't you shoot him and find out for us???
Ethan Givan
21 inches wide. 130 inches gross score.
HunterBlake
My guess is 21.
HUNTINGMAN
I have one on the wall that is 20" and he is wider than that. I would say 24 - 25" inside, definetly a shooter.
Ravin R10 man
ears are not extended out..so Im going with 19 max
wtnhunt
Probably close to 21 inches. Would guess that deer will finish out in the low 130's.
Hunt or be Hunted
i guess is 21 or so on the wide. 130 for the gross
Cobequid Big Game Adventur
It sure is a good buck but I think he is 18-19" and as you can see his tines are not much longer in lenght than the browtines and mass is just ok so I say 120-130 max !! Shooter buck though !
Casey
I think 18 inch inside spread. High 120's. Give him another year.
Doc
18" up to 25" and still going. That just shows me that any kind of AR that relies on spread estimation is something that is destined to make poachers out of a lot of otherwise law-abiding hunters. Pretty much as I expected. wtnhunt
What are you talking about? Just a little :offtopic: lol. Think doc is referring to some of the arguments from other threads in the deer hunting room on antler restrictions. It appears as though even with pics and a video clip folks cannot agree on measurements and make an accurate estimate, which would lead some to believe that field estimations on antlers might make folks mistakenly kill deer that are not legal. Good point, but wrong thread. Anyhoo, that deer's antlers are far enough beyond the ears with the ears almost out that he will be at least 20 inches outside. A deers ears at alert are usually around 14-15 inches, and the ears layed fully out are what about 16 inches, so not like there is a huge difference. Those antlers stick out more than 2-2.5 inches on either side with the ears between alert and layed out, so it is minmally a 20 inch deer outside. Doc
What are you talking about? That was just a comment that occurred to me when I saw all the wide variation in antler spread guesses in this thread. It kind of reminded me of the method of antler restrictions that some favor that are based on antler spread. This thread shows the lack of accuracy that hunters have on guessing such things. So far on this thread there has been a 7" variation and I dare say that the people who responded here are by no means newcomers to the sport. Just a point of interest about the results of this thread. Doc
Jorden
Ummm very wide:D...I think he will go about 18-20.
