jerdanmagic
Just curious to see what everyone is paying for corn right now? Several weeks ago Walmart had 40 lbs bags marked at $8.87!!! Today, I picked up some at the same Walmart for $5.27. That's the cheapest I've seen it in several years. How much is it in you neck of the woods? toddyboman
BUY IN BULK FROM YOUR LOCAL CO-OP!!! I purchase corn from our local co-op straight out of there bins. I drive my truck up and they fill the bed......Then I unload into my storage containers. WAY cheaper than bagged stuff from anywhere! Zambo
Todd's right, the federated co-op in town has the best prices by far. Buy bulk, not bag. Jim
Hoyt03
best price around here I've found is 12$ for 100lbs
toddyboman
I think...Don't quote me but you can buy a bushel of corn for around $3 to $3.25 from our local farmers elevator.....A bushel of corn is about 56 lbs. This is for straight out of the elevator not in a bag. So again buying in bulk straight from the elevator is WAY cheaper than buying it by the bag
wildthing
$8-$9 bucks depending for a 40-50 lbs bag... Fortunately for me, the neighbor farmer has corn all over our farm this year...so I never refilled my feeder after it ran out back in May. hyperflow
here it goes from 130-220$ per for 1 tone of whole corn, All deppends what time of year you buy it. The price drops when farmers are cuting there corn.
ToddCountyKiller
Really dumb question Not trying to be completely dumb or threadjack but I have a question. Lets say you want to buy Corn in Bulk from Co-Op. Can you not buy it and just get some now and some later??? Kinda Like a contract? Say you buy 250# of corn. Pick up 100# here one week then 2-3 weeks later come get the rest. I'd hate to buy in bulk and have it setting, waiting to use, and rodents eat it up. I buy it by the ton and they let me pick up however much I need when I need it, they just keep track of it as well as I do.
