I am going tomorrow to set this farm up, there are several big bucks on this property, i think i know where i want to set it up, but just wanted to see what you guys would do, a couple weeks ago dad saw 160 class buck here when checking the lagoon for the apartments, i know it is kind of broad but here is a sketch of the outline and stuff.

I may set a stand where the fencerow and crick meat as well, saw a nice buck there once. Dont really know about the wind there, there is apsolutely no crops within 10-15 miles of this property, but the timber is filled with acorns, there is a logging road that runs alot the right fence row and one that runs in the middle of the larger timber going from last to right as well.

Where those two creeks and that fencerow all come together looks good to me.

Or maybe between the evergreen thicket and the fencerow where the creek comes through. Those would be my picks.

I agree, I'd hunt those two creeks in the early part of season, with the humid weather they will hit the water all the time. The water will provide relief, then they will head back to the thicket to bed. Fence rows will show you a lot of sign, hair will get stuck and will show you where a trail is.

Thanks guys, ill put a stand down by where those two cricks and fence row meet, i was also thinking about putting one about 3 cemtameters up from my mouse and over 2 or three, my brother sat right by a tree in that area and had a buck come from the evergreen thicket at 15 yards, but it was to foggy to get a shot.

i am pretty sure the main food source there aare acorns in the fall, dont know about the spring or anything, but everyday that i would walk that cow pasture at 11:00 am i would see two or three bucks going into the crick and comming from the evergreens to get water, then they would go back up the bank and in the timber. There are no crops within 10 miles from this location, but there are deer everywhere.

It sounds like you already know where to put your stands. ;)
