preacherman
Went out this weekend looking for a new climber.......have never been one who really liked climbing, but I know, to get where the deer are you have to learn how to climb. I looked at both the Summitt Goliath and the biggest Ole Man that they make (seeing as how I am a little big bigger....6 foot 315 lbs.) The Ole Man was about $90 cheaper and I decided to go with it. Did I make a mistake or is this a pretty good stand?
Chrud
Re: Did I Make A Mistake? I couldn't tell you. I've never used an Ol Man, but I can tell you that you would not have been disappointed with the Summit.

RyanH
Re: Did I Make A Mistake? Yes summit are good. But Ole Man are good also. They were one of the best couple years back. Summit just has made a huge rus hear the last year or two. You did good with the Ole Man nothing wrong with it!!!!

AaronS
Re: Did I Make A Mistake? I have no experience with Old Man but I love my Summit Viper. Easily the most comfortable stand I've ever sat it.
Guest ILBrad
Re: Did I Make A Mistake? I am a big guy too, 6'4 275, and I am going to go with the Summit, but friends of mine really like their Ol Man stands.
Illinoisbowhunter
Re: Did I Make A Mistake? Ive got an Ol'Man Grand Vision climber and really like it! All of my friends have the same and a few even have the lighter titanium series which they say they wouldn't trade it off for anything. I like the gun/foot rest my grand vision has and the net seat is plenty comfortable. Best of all I feel pretty secure when sitting in it cuz its roomy and can support up to 400lbs. There isnt a way you could have gone wrong buying either cuz I have heard nothing but great things about summits too!
bowhtr1
Re: Did I Make A Mistake? I have both the ol-man mutilvision and the summit Revolution. Both are good stands and I cant say one is better than the other. The olman makes no noise at all while climbing, while the summit make some while climbing. The summit is a bit more comfortable but you can get the ol-man cushion seat and it is just as comfortable. The ol-man is eaisier to back around also. You wont be sorry. bowhtr1
Re: Did I Make A Mistake? nhhunter, sound like a nightmare. I know of about 12 people now that have them and noone ever had that happen. I have owned 3 and only sold 1 of the old ones to get the mutivision. I have summit stand also and they are good. I have two of the Summit revolution stands.
