HUNTINGMAN
My twins have a birthday comeing up on sunday and will be 6 years old.Me and the wife went to Toys R Us today and plopped down 530$ for a new swingset:jaw:.I think this is kind of rediculas for a swingset but the wife wanted to get it for them.Needless to say guess who gets to put this thing together now,me.This thing has so many parts and peices It will take most if not all of my day,oh well,as long as the kids are happy. That 530$ would have bought two trailcams though.:clown:
woolybear
Hehehe- the sacrifices a dads gotta make. For $500+ you best at least look at the pictures in the assembly instructions. Happy early birthday to your twins. Sure they'll love their new swingset when you get it all together.:robot:
wtnhunt
Remember when I built the swingset for my oldest daughter about 13 years ago. Just went and bought the lumber, the swings, and the slide from lowes with no real plans might have actually been easier that way. lol. Kind of planned out in my head how I wanted to build it and took me about a day. Don't remember how much it cost, but now with three kids it has sure been worth it. Hope your twins have a great birthday.
OJR
The "Dad Assembly Line" in action! I had several occasions of doing those things! Never did a swing set though!

I wound up with a 6x6 platform covered in 5/4 decking, sides, a slide, and a 4x6 coming off one side with 2 swings and a see-saw thing. The wood is high enough, but them components will break you! I think that added up to around $800, but like you said, was well worth it. Hope your twins have a great b'day huntingman! My girls turn 10 today Time surely flies. Now they got training bras, and I dont want to think of the unspeakable horrors to come......
layin on the smackdown
Happy birthday to your twins HuntinMan!!! Good luck with that swing set...You need to call your brother in law over, have him bring a case of beer, and you act a little stupid and just kinda supervise the whole project...pretend you work for the city...
