Adjam5
Hmmm....lets see. Been hunting since 85. Went deerless the 1st 6 years! Since then at least 2 every year with the rifle/smokepole since then, with doe kills leading the count. I put notches on the forend of my Marlin30/30 (11 on that gun alone). About a dozen or so with the bow. 3 bucks, the rest does. I love shooting does, shooting mature ones with the bow and young ones with the gun. Stinger-Hunter
I began in 2000 but didn't hunt in 2001 due to 9/11 - I'm at around 22 deer in 8 seasons. Most of which are out of Minnesota. Several nice ones in Indiana and one in Illinois. I think I've taken half does and half bucks. I've been lucky, but I also put a lot of work into scouting. Texan_Til_I_Die
Roughly 120. I'm figuring 40 years of hunting averaging 3 per year. Out of that 120 I'd guess I've killed about 35 bucks and the rest does. All were whitetails except for 2 mule deer bucks. The season in Texas generally runs from late Sep to early or mid Jan, depending on location. Limits are pretty generous in most counties. 1 or 2 bucks and 2 to 5 does. hunterbobb
21 I think. But I've passed on at least four times that many so they could grow bigger.
Rhino
Hummmm...I started deer hunting in 1967 and killed my 1st deer the following season. Been deer hunting almost every season since then. Never been into numbers but my best guess of total deer killed would be around 125 using the same basic ciphering method that Texan_Til_I_Die used. Hey...sounded good to me anyway since I really don't have a clue what the number is. Some years were lean and some were not (by far). My best guess is half of those are bucks. One of those bucks is a mulie and I also have a bull elk on the wall too. I've been going on at least 1 out of state deer hunt every year since 1993. Several years I've taken 2 and twice 3 road trip hunts during a season. This year I'll be hitting the woods in 2 other states besides MS to deer hunt. I'm not going to guess all the bag limits in those states with their changes over the past 15 or so years but Texas is the only place where I've killed does while hunting out of state. As far as I remember all those out of state hunts were 1 buck limit hunts either by state law or limited by the place where I hunted. Bag limits have varied over the years in the states where I've lived. When I 1st started deer hunting it was 3 bucks and 0 does. Then I moved to MS where it was 5 bucks 0 does but some areas had specific doe days depending on where you hunted during gun season along with a couple of does during archery. Been many changes in bag limits for MS since the early 70's. Buck and doe limits have changed from 5 to 3 and 3 to 5 for each. Now it's 3 bucks under our new antler criteria and 5 does. Over the years the overall season has been about the same in MS starting on Oct. 1st and going through Jan. 31st if you hunted with bow, muzzleloader, and rifle. There was a 10 year or so period when we didn't have a late bow or muzzleloader season during the last 10 days or so of January.
GWSmith
I took my first deer at the age of 13. All but a few seasons since I've hunted and tagged at least 1-2 each year some years as high as 7. I'll be 48 years old next month. I can usually remember what I got last year(4 deer-3 does/1buck) but like some of the other older hunters here we quit counting some time ago...and we aint sure when...dont really care either. Tominator
I guess I average about 1 a year, so that puts me at around 20 or so.

Legend Killer
Im at 8...5 bucks/2 does/1 fawn Also add 4 bucks not recovered from my early days and a bow miss Have done that in 12 years of hunting...Im 26 now...Not a ton of success by any means but with the area we hunt I'd say its respectable in comparison to the others in our hunting party 3 taken with a muzzleloader including a 120-130" 10 pt 5 taken with a slug gun, best would be a 100" mature 8 pt
BOHNTR
I quit keeping track when I reached 100 a few years back.......30+ years of bowhunting only though.
woolybear
I lost track of where the heck I was going with the original post. Too much going on right now. Anyhow, did a final count and I lied. Only came up with 38 confirmed kills.:pop:
RangerClay
I have put in 47 deer seasons with both bow and shotgun so far, and there is absolutely no way that I can even begin to estimate a number. All I can say is that it has been a bunch. We've had quite a few years with very generous doe permits and most of those seasons I have maxed out my tags. Sorry, but I really can't be any more specific than that. My memory is damned good but it's just a little short. Doc I have been deer hunting for 28 years this fall. Doc said the same answer I would have given.
m gardner
I've killed lots of whitetails and not so many mulies in 43 years. Mostly does. When I started it was all about food. Nobody seemed to care about trophies much. Mark
jared264mag
I'd have to say somewhere in the 100-110 Range. I have been hunting since I was 6. Kill probably 3-5 Deer a year maybe.

hoosierhunter
Not sure I've hunted for 16 years and I'm 28 now. I would average about 1.5-2 per year during that time.
