coles
I work for a sporting goods store called Bob Ward's And Sons. I work in the gun department. Our store has had an annual Bob Ward's Shoot for the past 6 years. They have numerous firearms that the public is allowed to shoot one day a year. $1.50 gets you 6 or 8 shots out of any weapon you choose. They had everything from Christiensen Arms rifles, remington, ruger, browning, tikka, just about every shotgun, and countless pistols. Well today we had a spreadsheet of guns that are goin on sale and i asked the gun manager what the sheet was all about. He told me that we are selling all the guns that were shot at the shoot for really cheap. Now I posted that i took my girlfriend out shooting a couple days ago and she loved my 270. So we went in the next day and looked at rifles to see which one she liked and fit her. The Ruger Hawkeye SS/SYN 270 is the one she liked the best. Our normal price is $599.99. There is one for sale on the sheet just like she wanted for $499.99! The manager said it hasnt even had a box of shells through it but since it is used its goin for cheap. Im lookin at it tomorrow and will most likely buy it for her to use. What do you guys think about the price? The manager said the price they have it for now is cheaper than the store could even buy a new one for.

jokostel
499$ for a stainless Hawkeye is a fine deal. With every rifle I get, ESPECIALLY Ruger, I take the barrel and action off of the stock, clean the burrs out of the stock a bit.... clean off the excess cosmoline, and locktight the lugs all down. Every Ruger I have does MOA or better if you do your job..... and their new LC6 trigger breaks like glass... most are around 4.5-3.5lbs. I know there is a Browning x-bolt stainless stalker in 270 for $699 i think. once again only about a box of shells through it and about $100 cheaper than you can get a new on in our store.
