buckee
Nice Hog. Way to go. It reminds me of the red hog I got down in TN
redkneck
Nice hog Steve. I got a question though. Why did you say you shot him b/c he is a red hog mirage? Hogs down here are all diff colors, I shoot everyone I can.
Mirage
All the hogs I saw were black And The I saw this red one and thought he would make a better mount, not because they are rare. But for the pigs I saw on my hunt he was the larger one and he was red. But you are right they come in all colors I would like a blue one too. Mirage
Nice hog steve. Did you have him mounted or just for the meat. I have some realy nice looking tenderloins now.mmm good.
redkneck
I gotcha. You just liked the color mostly. I was wondering if someone had introduced a diff species or something. Unfortunately our hogs are so nocturnal you rarely get a shot during season, although I've trapped quite a few. Last couple of years they havent been nearly as thick, which is also a good thing. Always thought it would be fun to just stalk them up with a bow though. I've done that several times with a gun, but never a bow.

There is the danger factor that just makes it a little more exciting. It would be cool to stalk one. Lots of fresh pork in the freezer. And Thanks Ranger clay! I had a blast. Mirage
nice pig there wish we had them running around here. Yeah it was a great time. You can hunt pigs all year round here in florida. It great fun and good eating, if the boar isnt too big. I was told the big boars that havnt been demanhooded are not good eating
