jokostel
Well, a quarter-bore hotrod that is... I sold off my 243 Winchester, paid the difference on a fairly hard to get weapon(at least around here). A Remington LSS 257 Weatherby... NEW. My father had a set of Leupold rings and bases from an old model 700 that he sold off umpteen years back.... Strapped those to it, and now Im waiting on my mail order items. RCBS dies, a box of norma brass( Dear LORD are they expensive!!!) , and a Leupold VX-1 4x12x40. Not the worlds greatest scope.... but, the way Im going to set this thing up... I doubt I'll need to invest in anything better
Strut10
Congrats on the new hammer!! How about some pics?? Don't fret the price of the Norma brass. They are worth the extra $$.
Shaun_300
Nice!!!! Congrats on the new gun! I was looking to get one of those but it was before I started reloading so I got a .25-06 instead.

jokostel
Im still mulling over 3 powder choices... Rl22,Retumbo and I7828... Most likely going to be using the 115 Ballistic Tip or the 110 Accubond... All in good time I guess. It ain't going to take too long to get something cooked up... Im just trying to lessen the number of times I head to the rifle range this year... especially since LR or LRM primers are hard to get. Strut10
Im still mulling over 3 powder choices... Rl22,Retumbo and I7828... I'd lean toward the 7828 to start. I'm in the middle of trying to figure out an issue with R22. Seems it could be very temperature sensitive.
wtnhunt
Nice looking lss. Always been a fan of the model 700's and like the looks of the lss's too, maybe one of these days one will find its way home with me.
jokostel
I was lucky bugger to find this one ... apparently it's a Premier series, so it's not a high production item. I believe they are also chambering the CDL in a small run of the 257 Weatherby....
