MichiganHunter
I just purchased a wildgame IR4 and I am really happy with it, fair trigger time and small light weight size and a IR flash. I paid $99 for it which is a fair price. Edited August 16, 2009 by MichiganHunter
wtnhunt
Use homebrews here. Lots of cam manufacturers out there have affordable units, don't know how good any of those are though.

hoosierhunter
any camera is fine as long as it's on a food source. The main reason for spending more money is for trigger speed to actually put the camera on a trail for passing deer. If the deer are stationary the trigger speed doesn't matter b/c they are standing in a fixed position. If your planning on using it on a trail try to face it up and down the trail instead of off to the side that way the trigger has as long as possible to trigger.... AaronS
I've read a lot of good reviews on the Moultrie D-40. On sale now at Bass Pro for $89. I had a $20 savings promotion, so I ordered one yesterday.
cinch314
I loved my D40 or GAmespy 4.0 as they are more commonly called. Battery life was great and pics were good. I guess someone else liked it too because they stole it from me.
backwoods07
I've had decent success with D40's. Battery life is phenomenal. Picture quality is great.
HUNTINGMAN
I started to buy one of the 50$ wild game cams a couple weeks ago and didn't because I was afraid of the pic quality from such a cheap cam. A guy I work with brought in some pics from one of those cams he bought about a week ago,I was realy suprised in the quality. I went to wall mart and bought one this morning, should get it in the woods Sunday or Monday.

JimT
I saw the $50.00 one at WalMArt. Threw it in the cart and decided to wait. I do not know anyone that has one but it rated ok on www.chasingame.com
