Whitetail22
Anyone know of any light weight reasonable price climber stands??? I have been using an ol'man for the past 4 years time for an upgrade
wtnhunt
Happy with my summit here. Have a gorilla, it is ok but not near as comfortable as the summit.

ToddCountyKiller
API I have an API. I like it alot. When I first bought it though, It took me a couple of trips to get everything adjusted the way I wanted it and it was aggrevating. But after that I love it and I am able to sit for a spell. fly
I have the older open shot by Summit. I really like it, but the platform is a bit short. The new open shot has a seat that folds up against the tree providing more room on the platform. I'd highly recommend the new model.
dlriggins
summit viper for me but I have hunted from lone wolf and will say both are good liked the lone wolf bow holder in the base was nice but summit is just a little more comfy
swohiodave
summit viper all the way! easy to climb, comfortable, easy to climb, comfortable....did i mention comfortable?
Stickslinger
Last week I was in Dicks sporting goods and they had a summitt viper on sale for $189. I have a viper and have no complaints, easy to hook up to the tree and climb, very comfortable and secure.
johnf
I love my viper. I would get an open shot if I weren't scared I'd fall off climbing. They are a bit less than the other summits. I think you can get them for under $200.
rbreedi1
I used to have the older Summit Open Shot and it was a great stand, super lightweight. The only thing I didnt like about it was the short platform and not comfortable if you planned on being in the stand for extended periods. I ended up selling it and buying a Viper SS and Im satisfied with it so far, extremely comfortable!
ildrhntr
Is the ol'man wore out? I have two and LOVE them! If it isn't broke don't fix it.
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
I am a Summit fan, if you look around you can find some good sales. I got my goliath pretty cheap because I got it when a local shop was trying to get rid of the previous years inventory to make room for new stuff. Here is a pretty good deal on a Summit 180 at bass pro shops http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_81225_425003001_425000000_425003000_425-3-
HUNTINGMAN
It seems like sumit is the hands down favorite on this forums but I have used them and just didn't care for them. I am getting ready to start my 3rd season with my lone wolf sit and climb and won't be planning on changeong anytime soon. Before I got my lonewolf I had olman climbers and love them,if I had not fallen in love with my wife and gained so much mass I would still be useing an olman. They were quiet, easy to use and super portable but on the heavy side.
nhbowhunter
I have always been a fan of the Summit line of tree stands. I have used them for 10 seasons and cannot complain. You would not be ill served by a Summit.
backwoods07
I used a Summit Viper SS. It was comfortable as heck, but not too lightweight. Then again, I really have nothing to compare it to.
