Do you just walk in the turkey woods and start calling ?
jesse8953
This spring was my first year turkey hunting,I am hooked.I watched all the turkey hunting shows on the outdoor channel, and scouted, and watched turkeys all spring. My friend was grounghog hunting and told me where he saw a tom one day.[same country square mile I was scouting],I got permission from the landowner.Took a couple weeks but I got a tom. Then got lucky and the 3rd week of season got another tom.I think you should talk to all the farmers, grounghog hunters, and some local people and they will help you out,at least in my neck of the woods! Go to nwtf.com and listen to the different turkey sounds, then pratice with the sounds you hear on the site.Good luck!
