I went into a Hibbit Sports store yesterday. Was wasting time, but came across these shoes that were labeled in the shoe department as techincal running. A little more expensive than the other running shoe. I asked why this are more, I asked if techincal running was the type of running that is complicated. The guy didn't find it funny but I did.

So whats techincal running??

Well, you know when your wife says, "run to the store and get me some milk and eggs", and you jump into your vehicle and drive there instead.

I think you are technically running to the store :clown::clown:

True. Steve, I know why you we have you around, you can really point stuff out to us.:clown:

Shoes come in many many many different types.

But since you asked about technical running shoes we will keep it to just running shoes.

A technical shoe is a shoe that has more features to it versus your plain old shoe.....Many serious runners will be the ones that buy these running shoes. Most people have either a pronation or supination to there gait cycle. Which means there foot either rolls in or out when they run. This is not a good thing to have as you run. So in order to prevent this some they have these technical shoes. That help with these such problems. Your technical shoes also will have more cushioning in them once again the people that are buying these shoes are seroius runners.

So since Hibbetts has that sign or label of "technical" running shoes the serious runner can now enter that store and go straight to that section to shop. Making it much easier for them.

The same concept as going to a hunting store and going to the "archery section" you don't have to hunt through the entire store to find archery gear, you just go to the achery section.

The reason they are higher priced is because there is SO much more to those shoes.

Similar to purchasing a high end bow or just a middle of the road bow. yes both will kill a deer but the high end usually has more benefits/features making it more expensive. The exact same concept in your technical shoe.

That's AWESOME! Maybe if I got the ones with cupcakes on them it would motivate me to go walking more often.

With each step I'd be like...... ooh! a cupcake! OOH a cupcake! OOH A CUPCAKE!

LMBO....:clown::clown:

Yeah, most likely you'd look down at your shoes, and go to the nearest Tim Horton's and buy a cupcake and a coffee :clown:

LOL...contrary to some of the more entertaining responses here (which are hilarious) "Technical Running" involves some obstacle such as rock's, bolders, and logs.

Basically it's off trail or off road running.

Depends on whos chasing how technical it gets:)
