silvertip_co
I didnt draw antelope tags off the draw or the leftover draw but was fortunate to at least get a tag for rifle antelope doe in SE Colorado off of the leftover list for Oct 2-9. So I guess I'll plan a day in Sept near Bisonte scouting out the Comanche Natl Grasslands and knocking on ranchers doors. I ask wife to go by the BLM and get me a Natl Grasslands map, and LOL they never even heard of Bisonte. She called me to tell me that they never heard of Bisonte, so I told the BLM guy that only 5 people knew where Bisonte was and they were old railroad guys LOL. Funny the BLM dont even know their own places. They are good bureaucrats and nice enough folks for sure, but a bit lost at times. A couple yrs ago I went to the Saguache office to buy a BLM map and they were gonna give it to me free. I said 'uuhhh your maps are $4.00'. Now their maps are $9.00( but they seemd to know THAT ok). Labor Day weekend we go to Gunnison to scout unit 54 for rifle elk, so am looking forward to that too. We like the scout trips as much as the rifle hunt trips. Anyway good luck to all this fall.
