woodshed
I need a low recoiling youth deer rifle. Used preferably due to massive pay cut. thank you, woodshed
Jeramie
My first thought would be an H&R in .243 or a Stevens bolt. Look on Gunbroker, some really good deals can be had on there if youre willing to wait it out. If youre not familiar with Gunbroker, its the NRA's version of Ebay for guns. johnf
Mossberg makes an ATR bantam (youth) 243. I've got the nef youth ultra-light 243 and it's felt recoil is harder than my 25-06. The gun shoots really well, but kicks like a 270. You can order the Mossberg at any wal*mart that carries guns. Last year they were about $250. Otherwise look at pawn shops. My Marlin 30-30 is a nice low recoil gun, cut the stock down a couple inches and put a simms pad on it and that might be just the ticket. Jeramie
Another vote for the ATR's. They arent going to win matches but they are decent shooting hunting rigs.
