lil hunter
I found out a few weeks ago that if the military doctors thought I needed it done, my wisdom teeth would be removed at the very beginning of boot camp. I thought no way I'm going to let that happen. lol. My own dentist told me a couple years back to do it, and I had another appointment scheduled for last week,so I had him check 'em out again. Still thought they should go, so I went through that this morning. I was exhausted laying in the bed. They put the IV in me to knock me out, and I was so tired already I didn't know if it was working, or if it was just me wanting to fall asleep. lol. Seemed like a minute later I was waking up with a numb mouth full of gauze. yuck. I woke up pretty quickly, and we stopped to get me a milkshake, and turned in my prescription on the way home. The doc told me to take 3 advil while waiting for my prescription. I have never once had so much trouble swallowing something. My mouth is still so numb I couldn't feel the pill as I tried to swallow it. took me about 8-9 tries to get the 3 pills down. On a good note, I won't be working the next couple days so I'll have plenty of time sitting around here, watchin some huntin shows and just relaxing. Here in a few minutes I'm going to see if I can actually eat this milkshake or not. lol. Just hoping for a quick recovery, I hate missing out on money and having a life just for silly little operations like this.
OJR
You won't regret getting rid of those blasted things! It isn't fun for a few days, but you will get over the crap fairly quick! I think it is much better to have them all pulled at once rather than one at a time! Good luck and I hope you enjoy some shows!
Jeramie
Those things are a PAIN. My wife's will have to be cut out. Luckily I am one of the very few that was born without them and will never have them....

MUDRUNNER
Yikes! My dentist tells me I need to have mine taken out, but they don't bother me a bit. I'm not sure if I want to go through that for something that really doesn't hurt.

Doe-ee
Just do not sip anything through a straw. You don't want to end up with "dry socket". That hurts worse than anything else a dentist could do to you. Put your dinner through a blender and spoon it down. Yucky texture but it'll get your strength back up.Oh and lots of popsicles. Good luck!
stevebeilgard
well, a bad week is coming just as soon as the novacaine wears off. but, after a week or so, you'll be much better off.

lil hunter
I don't know where all this pain is that everyone is talkin bout. I woke up to my dog barking early this morning, just a little bit of soreness. A couple advils later and I was headed out the door to go squirrel hunting since I had already told my boss I couldn't work. lol. I'm just hopin my cheeks don't swell up. I've been using the ice packs on 'em like i'm spose to still.
