mastr001
I have a bowtech general set at 68 pounds with a 26.5 draw, which is the best broadheads both fixed and mechanical

Tom2008
It's all personal preference so the best answer I can give is (a sharp one). Well said. You might hear tons of opinions, but this is the best advice you can get.
fly
I hear a lot of good things about the Rage mechanical. I like the gator XP mechanical (very similar). Fixed - no comment.
redkneck
You'll get as many opinions on that as there are members here, but I'd guesstimate that rage would be the most popular mech, and muzzy on the fixed side. Personally, I've never owned a bad broadhead, don't know of one that doesn't kill deer.

NYmathewsman
The one that you can take into the field and have the confidence to cleanly take an animal! All broadheads will fly straight with time invested, all will have the penetration to take the animal with your setup. I personally shoot 100 grain G-5's
Rhino
I personally shoot 100 grain G-5's Same here. They've always shot the same as my field points when others didn't. That's from 3 different compound bows, I've tested other fixed blade broadheads against the G-5's and my field points since Montec first came out with the G-5's. I haven't found any fixed blade broadhead that consistantly shot as true as the G-5's do all the time. Can't say much about the mechanicals available these days. I tried some years ago when they first came available. I wasn't happy at all with the early model's lack of penetration so I deer hunt with fixed blade broadheads. I bought some Rage 2 blades and they shot true too but I haven't shot them at anything with hair on it yet. I might try to wack a pig with one this year but I'll stick with G-5's when shooting at deer.
jdavis
Try several brands and pick the one that is the most accurate for your setup. What's good for someone else may not work at all for you. The most important thing is accuracy; if you put the arrow where it needs to be it shouldn't matter what type of broadhead you're using. As long as they are sharp; I will only shoot a broadhead once; after that it goes in the trash or I buy replacement blades (with the exception of my practice broadheads)

Stratcat
My limited experience started in '06 I have killed 6 deer. Wasp Sharpshooter, Montec, Snuffer ss, Nap Crossfire were the heads I have used successfully. They were all sharp and I hit them right. All 6 fell in sight. Any sharp head should do if a good shot is made.
