fisherguy
I fletch for visibility and for me the best is one white, two blue. I inherited some minor colour blindness so the oranges and yellows don't stad out that well. My dad is fully colour blind, and he discovered in the 70's that he could see blue flag tape on trees, but not orange. He tried the white and blue and it worked for him, so i tried it. I may see colour better than him, but it is amazing how buch better i can pick out blue and whit than any other combo.
tedicast
Re: Fletching for asthetics target shooting or for.... A little of both. I saw a pic somewhere of arrows fletched with white and orange wraps, and orange and white vanes, and they really caught my eye. I'm shooting ez-crest elite II wraps with 2 white, and 1 orange vane. I think they look really cool, and in flight they stand out better than any other combo I have used. I easily follow then from the time they leave the bow. After using the wrong pin, and shooting one into the woods , they really show up good on the ground too.
ScottyLuck
Re: Fletching for asthetics target shooting or for.... After fletching a bunch of different color combos I feel the setup that stands out the best is the 1 Yellow and 2 Orange, followed by 1 Green and 2 Yellow. Those 2 combos stand out in flight and on the ground.
VTbowman
Re: Fletching for asthetics target shooting or for.... I basically got sick of loosing every dang arrow I shot at deer. Ever One! So I 1st thought I was gonna use flor. pink, since in nature, during the fall, thats the only color thats not growing out there. Fall in VT has about as many variations of bright orange, green, red, and yellow as you can imagine. As for white, the bark off the white birch trees are every where up here. I tried flor. blue and purple but they loose their brightness in low light. (JMO) I could not find a good bright hot pink so I went to 7" white reflective wraps and all 3 vanes in flor. green with orange nocks. I am finding them everytime for sure now. Short answer=For field conditions. LOL But I must admit they look pretty to me....
