wtnhunt
With what, your fingernails??? My wife and son feel the same way I do. They would fight beside me, whether I wanted them to or not! Like I said be smart. They cannot take what you do not have or at least what they do not find or think you have. Think about it. I have thought on this subject going back some time to back before Obama was ever nominated in regards to what John said about the UN, and I think it likely that if the UN had soldiers in this country it would be very bad for them. m gardner
wing_o_nut if you are old enough join the military and learn to fight. If you spend enough time with an infantry unit you'll see exactly what you're up against. If anyone comes to your home and is well trained you lose. End of story. Mark You obviously read SOME of what I posted. Read it again, more slowly this time. What is there to make you believe that I do not know how devise and execute plans for defense of a structure or an area, or for effective assault of a structure or an area, or that I am unfamiliar with leading a fighting force, deploying manpower and firepower to best effect, etc.?? johnf
The main problem with this scenario is that there are way too many men and women who have been trained how to react to this kind of action. I'm not one of them, but I know quite a few. In such situation I know who I would be following. I think that it would split our military and the majority would uphold the constitution. What makes me think that is, that you are way too defensive. Some people I know have been practicing and training others in Urban Escape and Evasion. We think that's what it will come down to as food supplies diminish and services deteriorate. Worldwide crops have been failing this year. Our midwest suffered from flooding. California's environmentalists shut down irrigation to a ton of farmers to save a minnow that was being killed by the pumps. It'll take a much different tact to evade what may be coming. "They" are hoping you'll turn your miserable life over to "them" willingly for food and shelter and security. If you want to go down in 15 minutes of fame and glory feel free. I'm going to survive this and help others survive. Mark
Ethan Givan
The main thing is that we stick together. If we all try to defeat this individually then it is hopeless, but if we fight it as a nation then we can. I think if we let it get to the point where they are knocking on doors then it will be too late. I think we will have to do something before that happens, as a nation of gun owners...not individuals. stevebeilgard
Raises a question, say you get into a firefight and in the process you are the only one in your family left surviving. You take out those officers, but your wife and kid/kids are killed by bullets from those folks coming after your guns, could you really live with yourself? I couldn't. Be smart and live to fight another day. without guns, we are enslaved servants to our leaders. i'd rather die. there is living and there is simply existing. i want to live. Never said I was giving up my guns Steve. They can arrest me or search my house, I am not going to risk the lives of my family in a firefight I could not win. I also agree with Ethan if we let it get to the point they are knocking on doors we have probably let it go too far. Hopefully 2010 will see a real change, Obama has not accomplished much with the liberals in charge, without them in control he will not accomplish anything. Orion_70
. I also agree with Ethan if we let it get to the point they are knocking on doors we have probably let it go too far. . The one problem with that, we'll use Katrina as an example. In New Orleans, they confiscated thousands of firearms by armed police and yes, 140 Blackwater mercenaries were deployed to provide security also... It can happen at a moments notice. I'm glad to say I wasn't there.
OUTSIDER
I was part of the Recovery, Security, and Other actions after hurricane katrina....We had Navy Seals down there with us assisting us (I was an Air Force Person deployed with the Army) I never saw any other uniformed forces...
