sluggunner
Sweet!!! I love the contrast between the real dark bases and the white skull. Very good choice of a deer to do a Euro mount on.

Tom2008
Did the part around the antlers turn as white as the rest of skull? Looks pretty good though. Congrats and glad I could help.

Ya its white but i dont think its as white as the rest of the skull the base of the horns turned white too,, i guess i didnt wrap the tinfoil tight enough around the horns, but i darkened it up pretty good and tried to blend it in as good as i could

woolybear
Looks real good. Kudos to Tom for the helping hand. What did you use to get the color back in the antlers?
The Kid
Looks real good. Kudos to Tom for the helping hand. What did you use to get the color back in the antlers? i soaked the the horns in tea for a day, and to get the black at the base i used the coals from a bon fire its kinda like pastels you just rub it in. but you have to seal the color otherwise it'll just rubb out,, i used mineral oil b/c it doesn't give a shiny finish when dried.. mike13candace
Anything found in a hardware store. More of a satin finish not gloss.
