mitrrophybowhunter
I have finally talked my Dad to get back into bowhunting. He is now of an age where he wants a cross bow. He wants to spend about $350-$400 for a package. Used is an option. What do you guys/gals suggest? I do not have any experience with x bows. Thanks Phil

bghunter777
Parker has come a long way with there crossbows ten point has always been the gold standard but they are very pricy the parker buck buster is the closest to your price range there packages are around 500 if you look on ebay you mite be able to get one for around $ 400. I just recently bought a parker tornado for my dad on ebay for $650 shipped. NIB. I would definately look at the parker line they are very well built and shoot great! ohiobuckhunter
for the money your talking i would go with the horton but if you want better quality look at the 10 point.

RangerClay
I would get a Dragon Slayer without batting an eyelash. You cannot go wrong with an Excalibur.
pse arhcer
Just bought my dad a crossbow last week. Went with the Horton Explorer HD 150. Not as nice as a 10 point, but seems like it will get the job done. Shoots nice and feels good..not too much vibration. Got package deal for $360. smo
I've got a parker and love it. Top it off with a 2 blade rage and you've got a lethal system.

Dont see that alot these days...it's refreshing to know there are members of the younger generation that care about this. He started my addiction for bowhunting. He never really did it, just started so I could get out in the woods here in MI at the age of 12. I have been rifle hunting with him every year. He is getting ready to retire from 34 years at GM and I thought what a great gift for his birthday. A great gift to me to, spending more time in the woods with him.
