Slick Trick
It can be anything. Mine is the Red Grey Ghost tied in a size 8 partridge hook(same as #12 Mustad) for Grand Lake Stream, Maine. Hammer salmon, trout, bass, pickeral, and char on it. Works for me during spring, fall, and summer. A close secod would be Adams. Great trout and salmon dry fly. What else is there to say?!? muggs
Stonefly nympths. They work great for smallmouth, the stocked browns, and steelhead- which are just about the only real species I can fly fish streams for here in Ohio. I use bigger ones tied on #8s for smallmouth in the spring because they look like a hellgrammite and use them smaller on #12s for steelies as a trailer fly behind an egg pattern in clear water.
