sluggunner
Think I'll hold off on the capture for now. I was seriously thinking of getting a Cuddeback Capture this weekend but I think I will hold off now as some earlier posters mentioned some reliability issues and now your post seals the deal. I want a camera that is very basic and easy to use without all of the "extra" features I will never use, but I sure don't want the headaches of something you can't rely on 24/7. My Leaf River has never let me down and it is old as dirt, but it is a pain to re program every time I switch out the CF card.

Not to get off topic, but check out the thread I just put up with Moultrie pictures. There are certain times that the camera will not know exactly when to switch to flash or just regular color. If the lighting is just right then the flash won't go off even though it should have. Now if it doesn't work period than you have a problem and I would send it back to Cuddeback. What I first mentioned happens with all brands.
struttinhoyt
Well so far its been a killer of a camera.... I have got 1100 pics since the middle of may on the same set of batterys.... Without one glitch.... I don't know if it was the flash not going off or the shutter speed being to slow.... I am headed tommorow around noon hour to replace batterys and see if its working properly.... If not I am giving cuddeback a call.... I'll keep yal posted.... struttinhoyt
Well when I went back to check out my camera, the batterys showed to be low... I guess at the moment I checked it, it was fine but didn't have enough power to discharge the capacitor for the flash.... I swapped the batterys and gave it a test run, everything checked out so I guess I'll give it a check in a couple of few days....
