Tominator
Are any shade trees in the plan? Yep. There's tons of Ash growing already. They're only 5" or 6" high, but they grow quick. Just ask Tom. Tough part will be keeping them protected from the deer. I lost well over 30 or 40 pines on the old property due to rubbing. Oct 28 move in date? Man isn't that smack dab in the middle of archery season for you guys? Yep, Late October is when things really start heating up. I've already warned my family if it's not absolutely necessary to have, it's not getting moved in unless you move it, I'll be hunting. Oh yeah...ain't shooting a bow out the bedroom window(s) just grand Was pretty nervous making sure I had clearance everywhere. Could just see trying to explain a hole through the new wall or window to the wife and builder. Find any water yet bud? They haven't been back since Thursday of last week to my knowledge. Talked to he insulation guy yesterday. They had about 1/3 of the 1st floor insulated and caulked. WOW!!! You sure do look happy!!!:clown: Nice house Chris. All its missing is a flag pole flying the big block M on it. Big block M's will be in the firepit where they belong. As far as the pic, I think I was constipated that day. Been thinking some on what kind of shade trees we might plant/transplant if whenever we finish our house. Got a lot of maples and oaks along our drive that may be easy to dig up and relocate. Oaks don't really seem to grow too fast though. Think I read somewhere that some maples grow pretty quick. Don't know, looks like we have plenty of time. Think I will tag some trees with marking tape, then go back and dig em up when the ground is soft and after they go dormant.

Chris, try some PVC pipe and cut it in half(clam shell style). Take the two halves and wrap them around the trunk of the tree with either plastic wire ties or tie wire. Get the right size PVC for the trunks you'll be guarding. It will save the trunks from getting rubbed. A lot better on the eye than wire mesh protection screens with stakes IMO. The place is looking sharp .
