sluggunner
OK, this might give you an idea how close I am to all of those monster bucks. The house at the end of the street in the upper left is mine. The woods behind it are owned by the city. There is no hunting in the city limits. The field just to the left of my house is in the township. Hunting is allowed there, but getting permission to hunt there is impossible. Anyhoo the big deer, no make that REALLY BIG deer are always staging right in my back yard before they go out into the field in the early evening. They literally walk around on my lawn and in and out of the trees waiting until dark to hit the field. Cool to watch but frustrating also. http://www.bing.com/maps/default.aspx?v=2&FORM=LMLTCP&cp=r71r3z7pb9sb&style=b&lvl=1&tilt=-90&dir=0&alt=-1000&phx=0&phy=0&phscl=1&scene=8618754&encType=

sluggunner
High class deer find their sheds These deer don't have sheds, they have garages...LOL!!! Actually, I have been looking for their sheds. So far only found a tiny one from a 18 month old buck. But I have only been in this house for two shed seasons, so maybe 2010 will be my year. stevebeilgard
what a rip. the sheds you'll find in the farmers field. i'm pretty sure, anyway. ask the farmer if you can comb his fields for the sheds so as he doesn't get any in his tractor tires. you might be surprised and even get a hunting area for next year. sluggunner
Funny you should mention that... what a rip. the sheds you'll find in the farmers field. i'm pretty sure, anyway. ask the farmer if you can comb his fields for the sheds so as he doesn't get any in his tractor tires. you might be surprised and even get a hunting area for next year. I spend all of my time in the woods looking for the sheds. The farmer told me he has punctured a tire on his tractor by driving over an antler. I talk with him all the time as I buy lots of corn from him when he has the field planted in corn. He sells it to me cheaper than buying it in bags. Just curious, why do you think I would have better luck finding the sheds in the field and not the woods? I figured the deer wouldn't be in the field much in the spring as there are no crops in the field then. But hey, I'll give anything a shot as I'd love to find one of those big boy sheds.
