Spring Tom
The second picture doesn't give him his due. That is a dandy buck. I'd say 125. A keeper in my book.

mikewink
Sorry I haven't had a chance to update. This buck actually stretches the tape at about 116. The inside spread on this buck is right at 16" His antlers tip out and has an outside spread of about 19.5. My wife took some good pictures, I am about 215 lbs. Just the way I'm holding him makes him look larger than he truely is. It was a rough year hunting last year, and other than a 6 pointer this was the only legal buck I saw. Randyman
I got to this too late to make a guess, but I think this proves how hard it can be to judge score looking at a picture. I also think, in general, people don't realize how much mass figures into a rack's score. I was just at Cabela's in Hazelwood, Mo. today and saw replicas of both the Hanson Buck (current B&C record typical) and the Jordan Buck (the Buck it replaced). I was amazed at how much more impressive the Jordan Buck is at 206 and change vs. the Hanson Buck at 213 and change and it is mostly due to the extreme mass of the Jordan Buck. Not to take anything away from the Hanson Buck, it has tremendous inside spread, tine and main beam length, but it looks down right spindly compared to the Jordan Buck. At any rate, that is a nice Buck you took, mikewink! Edited September 6, 2009 by Randyman
