Yea theres people here that I disagree with or dont like, but you can't let people dictate if you leave or stay. Theres enough good people here to make up for the "bad ones". Justin and I have agreed that this place isn't what it used to be a year or two ago. We were just discussing it this weekend how we only tend to come on here out of habit. I hope the two members come back, but if they don't its their choice and we should let them decide if they want to come back or not. I've learned a lot and have talked to a few on the phones, I got some friends that I will keep forever. I met 92xj, took him out to eat when he was West Coast bound. I have met my fair share of great people and hope that one day I will have the opportunity to meet more. In the recent months I have seen a couple of times people say that this place is not what it used to be in the good old days. I have also noticed that none of these people seem to be trying to get it back to “that” way. Yeah I am “new” but I feel like I contribute to the conversations. I may say things that tick people off and people here might not like me, so what. If I am going to let people’s opinions of me on the internet effect my personal life then maybe I do need to leave for a while. Take people’s opinions with a grain of salt and move on. I enjoy this site and the people here, even the ones I “don’t like” they are still fun to pick with. For the folks that don’t like me, meet me off this forum, I bet you will get new thoughts and feelings about me. I do a lot of things here out of humor. Most people get the humor and some don’t, but I also know when its time to be serious and say the “correct” things. I have tried to contribute as much as I can to the people in need on this site that I have never met before and know nothing about. The reason I do this is because I want to help people. I do know that all the thoughts and prayers here helped me get across the country with zero issues and that means the world to me that people here actually had me in their prayers and they have no idea who I am. So, back to the OP’s topic, the guys will be missed, no questions about it! Sorry it’s not like it was years ago. Take people’s opinions and thoughts as a grain of salt. Grow thick skin and realize this is the internet, and people like to express their opinions in ways you might not like. How it affects the forum will all be in the response to the opinion. The whole Sport teams and people saying teams suck and you suck because you like this certain team is pretty darn common. Who really cares if you like another team? And do you honestly think the people think you are a horrible person because you like a certain team? Anyhow, to the people here, to the ones I like and also the ones I don’t, Thank you for making this place what it is today. I enjoy it here and will continue to enjoy it. If I start to lose the joy I will leave. That is my call. Have an awesome day, week and good luck to everyone in the upcoming hunting seasons!!! Oh, and Shaun, Chevy sucks….Toyota rules!!!! I think it is safe to say that the vast majority of users on here call this place home and the folks on here family. Yet we have neglected a few of our key members or have gotten into stupid and petty arguments like "which sports team is better". As a result we have driven people to the outside of the family. For example: Steve Douglass (BowtechTurkeyhunter) left after an argument over hocky and now Luke (Vermonthunter) is looking for a new "second home" after a few nasty PMs from some of the members on here. Why do we do this? These people are our friends and family! I don't know about you, but I can definitely see the difference since both Steve and Luke left. It's no different than when Nick, David and Jody were killed or when Andrea left for her own reasons. These people have left their mark and will never be forgotten. At least, I won't forget them. Just thought I'd let you all know... Dakota Ah, but that's where you are wrong, Kyle. :no: I'm not blaming the entire forum, I'm just saying can't we all just get along?! Whatever their reasons were, I know both Steve and Luke will be missed. At least there's always facebook! :( Dakota Kinda sounds like it when you type it that you are blaming the whole gang. If people really enjoyed this site and the friends here so much, I would kind of think they could look past the little things or just ignore them. But maybe I am wrong. You can't let one or even a few people stand in the way of many friendships. Well then, if you want to go that route, we would be including me. I didn't say I was blaming everyone but me, I'd say that if we are to still continue along that line of thought then all of us are guilty. I'm not going to embarrass Luke or anyone any further by telling everyone why he left, but when someone says something to you that is just sheer crap, and said for one purpose only (to hurt), then yeah, I can't blame him. Luke has been a wonderful friend of mine for years now, whom I have had the pleasure of meeting in person twice now. He didn't deserve those spiteful, jealous comments you made (and you know who you are) any more than any other good standing, long time member in here. You folks, and you know who you are, owe him an apology, and if you're not man enough, then maybe you're the ones that should leave the forums. I will miss Luke. He was one of my buds on here and I wish he would come back. Even if I have to ask my wife to make those lemon cookies again we sent ya last Easter:). I am very similar and stay out of certain rooms for that reason. ...Just because we are all different is no excuse for someone being intentionally hurtfull. Yet another example of people feeling invinceable on the Internet and not giving a dang about how they treat people and having no fear of retribution.
