swohiodave
hey guys, just checking in. Yesterday I saw an eight pointer go by at about seventy yards then around 11 i had 4 does coming in. two went up the hill and two were headed for me, all of the sudden they turn and walk off real quick. down the hill walks some other guy that hunts where i hunt with his buddy and kid making all kind of noise! deerslayer2295
This has been a bad year so far, in my area anyways. First of all I was told that I could not hunt on the property that I have hunted on for the past twenty years because their are new owners and the y don't allow any hunting. Then second I went to get my stand that I had on the property, you guessed it, STOLEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It really sucks when you lose 1500 acres and a stand all in one season:death:
deerslayer2295
Monday was first day of gun season in W.Va., I hunted a new area. I saw two small spikes and a 4 point and a few doe. Not a Bad first day, but I hope tomorrow is better. Good luck to everyone.

RackBlaster
Hey team, congrats on your deer! I missed out on the first IL gun season and the whole 9 day season up in WI due to a death in the family. I hunted IL 2nd season the last day and seen nothing but a fawn. I will be out bowhunting this weekend at a new area on 1500 acres with about 300 acres of patchy woods and the rest picked beans and corn that has never been hunted so we will see what happens. Good luck to those still huntin.

RackBlaster
Good luck! As for me I woke up late Mon. morning only to see a big 10 pt walking by my stand w/ 2 doe's in the early afternoon. Had I not been re-routed by road construction for a half hour, he might have been in the freezer.Needless to say i wasn't a happy camper . swohiodave
i feel cheated! so today i thought i was the only guy out in the woods, im sitting on a creek crossing watching the snow. out of nowhere i hear a shot ring out 40 yards from my spot. some guy the owner works with came down for the day and shot a big ten point not 50 yards from me across the creek. then went to get his atv. he said he was sorry for disturbing me but i know that is part of hunting. it was a ten i had been watching all season. RackBlaster
Hey team, hunted last weekend and harvested this doe. It came in with 5 other doe's and 2 forky's. I haven't seen and decent bucks in a few weeks. I could not go out this weekend due to a bad cough and man did that kill me , perfect temps and wind. I have 2 more weekends left of the season then its all over till next year. Good luck to all that's still hunting.
deerslayer2295
Sorry folks, I tried my best this year, but I didn't score this year. I passed on a few spikes this year and a small 4 pt. When doe season got here, I had the flu, I just can't win. Then we had a three day extention on the doe season, I saw a total of 4 deer, as they ran away from me, tails waving. Bye Bye deer, see ya next year.
swohiodave
congrats on the doe rackblaster. i went out tonight for a few hours and didnt see a thing! they still have standing corn across the street and lots of woods and i believe that is where most of the deer are hiding out!
