Tony
i finally go tot get my bow season started. i saw 5 deer this morning and one was a small buck. i almost had a doe for sure at 25 yards, but she came out of the cedar thicket so quick, by the time i saw her, she was broadside at 25 yards and in a shooting lane. it was no use to even try picking up my bow, turning my feet and trying to draw on her. so i just let her walk. i figured i would be better to not spook her. she was acting kind of funny and im hoping she didnt smell righ where i had walked. she will be back, this doe and yearling cross there just about everyday in the morning. the best part is the big buck i got on my cuddeback trail camera. i have pics of him in my blog. i definately want to tag this 12 point. i think he will go 160 class maybe a little higher. elnor
That is a beautiful buck! Hope you get him and a doe, too, good luck on both!!! How's everybody else doing so far? Our bow season opened October 1st, but I'm under a bit of a crush at work and with some personal things so probably won't get out until opening weekend of muzzleloader season October 24th. I'm planning to take that week off and hit 'em hard.
MUDRUNNER
I finally got going Sunday morning. Never seen a deer from the stand, but jumped two fawns bedded down on the way back to the truck. I took my 5 year old daughter out for a few hours last night to look over a bean field, but never seen a deer. Pretty slow start, but all the crops are still in. Once they get the corn and beans out things should pick up.

HunterLuke
I've been seeing plenty of does and a couple button bucks. Only horns I've saw has been a tall and wide 4-point. I let him walk, The way he's built and how his antlers were he should be a brute if he lives past this season. Other than that I havent seen any other bucks
Tony
congrats on the doe Mike. i have been passing on a lot of small bucks and yesterday i passed on 6 does. there was one, that was really asking for it, but with a bigger buck in the area, i just want to hold off on a doe for right now. i was told by my buddy that owns the place, that the buck i have on my trail camera ISNT the biggest one there! good luck to eveyone. elnor
Very nice does, gentlemen! I'll be in the woods in less than 2 weeks and can't wait to get after them. Going through gear and making one last Bass Pro trip today; it's been cold here much earlier than normal and I'm thinking I might want an extra set of cold weather thermals just in case (now watch it be hot ML week). MUDRUNNER
Congrats on the does boys! I got skunked again this weekend. The only chance I had to go out was Sunday evening, and I never seen a deer. My weekends will be opening up a little more now, so I'll be able to start spending a little more time in the woods. MUDRUNNER
I'm off work tommorow, so i'll be in the woods for a few hours in the morning. Saturday I'm heading up to a farm I haven't hunted yet this year, so hopefully the weather cooperates and can put one down. Naturally it's supposed to rain Friday and Saturday, but I plan on going out anyway.
