maddhunter
Well rifle season hasn't been to good so far. But as hunters kill out on small bucks and does the deer should start moveing more. The temps are starting to drop also, this should help too. We haven't seen a buck in 2 weeks. He's got to come out some time !!!!!!!
Hammer
No deer yet here, but we are going to VA to deer hunt sometime! Wish me luck!
need2hunt
Hey all! Just got home from Anticosti Island, sorry to say I didn't bring anything back to help us out but I will be down in Pike county this coming weekend for muzzleloader season so hopefully that will work out. Good luck!
maddhunter
The deer are starting to move, well I have found where they are moveing since they cut the beans on the next section. I have moved into the thick stuff, can't see very far but hopefully far enough. Got to have bigger than an 8 to upgrade though. Still waiting for MOBY DICK !!!!!!! need2hunt
Hunted Saturday night, saw our resident button buck and a ton of turkeys. Left once camera lite was done to check other fields and found a cornfield that the deer were hitting pretty hard including a good buck. Hunted that area Sunday night from 1:30 pm to dark in 24 degree temps, saw NOTHING until the last 20 minutes of filming lite. Had a spike and 6 pointer walk right to us at 15 yards (can't shoot those on this property) then had does come out right where I parked my truck (imagine that) and head to the cornfield. They were about 200 yards away and they just kept streaming out. Then I look up and see antlers coming over the hill, I've rewatched the footage and he has a ten point frame with I beleive a forked G2 on the left side and 3 or 4 extra points coming off the top of his G2 on the right side. Next deer was the twin to the 148" 9 point that ralph shot earlier this year, followed by an 8 point with a busted G3 - all 3 bucks were probably 140's - none of which came down to where I was. It will be the 26th before I can get back up there, I hope they are coming out the same place because I will have a stand set and waiting for them. AdvantageTimberLou
Sadly team my season is over here in Michigan and I didn't get anything. Tag soup for me this year! The standing corn really hurt the area I hunted and didn't see nearly the deer I did in the past. Sorry I could not contribute to the team's score. I did have fun being on this team and I want to thank all of you for letting me be a part of it. Best of luck to those that are still hunting and congratulations to those that have had success! need2hunt
We had a bunch of deer come by us last night and we waited for the last two deer in the group. The last buck was bigger but it didn't look like he was going come close enough, but this one did! I might try to get out a few more times but it's pretty doubtful that I will get anything bigger than this. It' been fun hunting with all you this season, wish you all the best in 2010! maddhunter
Well today is our last day of archery and it is so foggy I can see about 20 yrds. I can hear the geese's wings when they fly over but can't see them. I doubt I will score any better but we will see. It has been fun and good luck next year!!!!! Time to kill some yotes and geese !!!!
