i just got my bow back and it shoots GREAT!!!!!!!!

Good to hear! Keep practicing! Remember to find the right type of hat and gloves that you'll be wearing during the season and practice with them. You'll look like a goof wearing a hat and gloves when it's 80 out, but trust me, nothing's worse than drawing on a deer and not being used to having that stuff on. I learned the hard way, twice.

I just got back from a weekend at the new farm. We moved some furniture from the other house and picked stand locations. I know, it's a little late to be getting stands up but we haven't even closed on the property yet. We close in two days. Oh yea, and we bought a little Kubota KX2350 with a couple attachments for tillin up some land and keepin that grass mowed! Next year, we will have about 3 acres (5 or 6 plots) of clover/trefoil/brassicas/switchgrass/rape.

This land has a lot of field edges that we'll be concentrating on. There's 20 acres of corn up right now. There's a couple deep woods spots, but we might not have enough time to get in there and pinpoint exactly where the deer are and what they're doing. Instead of rustling their feathers with our intrusion, we're going to play it safe and stay out of their bedrooms for the time being. As of right now, we have 40 acres and 12 stand spots! A couple are right across from eachother in order to assure a good hunting spot regardless of wind direction.

Last week on the farm, the neighbor kid brought over some pics of bucks in the area. Since we didn't even have time to put our cams out, this is the only way we see what caliber deer live on our property. If I didn't see these pics, I wouldn't believe what our woods are holdin. He showed us 4 different bucks all between 140 and 180. Hurry up Oct 1!!!!!
