Good luck John!!!

That sucks Joe.....He is still an awesome buck!!!

I have some exciting news.....Or at least I hope. I have found a nice buck using the same field for several nights......I have since then obtained permission to hunt this area. Hopefully this buck stays on his summer pattern for a few more days/weeks and I can cash in! Time will tell......

Well I checked the field last night and he was still there....Today is the opener but I can't hunt tonight. I will be able to making my nightly drive by however.

Tomorrow night (Wednesday) I will be out hunting this buck I sure hope he is still on the summer pattern.

We need a name men...

Also you lucky guys getting to hunt already I have to wait til Oct 1st.

Although I'm very excited. My grandfather has 15 acres that backs up to 452 of a wildlife preserve. He's never allowed any hunting on his land until this year. Now he's letting me hunt. I'll be there on opening day to see what happens....

Hey all.. I'm still alive lol Just been busy with school and work. This college stuff is exhausting! So much more work than high school. Been getting good bucks on the camera as usual. 25 days til Thack Attack here in NY. Today is my first day off in a while. No school, no work. Nothing to do today. I'm just gonna hang around the house today and shoot the bow a little bit.

Went up to the property upstate over the weekend with my girlfriend, Melissa and my dad. Got a new ladder stand hung and it just so happens to have a tree next to it that a climber can fit onto just right. This will work this fall when she wants to come out because I can just use my Summit and she can climb the ladder stand because she's more comfortable with it. Haven't had a chance to let her play with my Summit yet. We got plenty of work done this weekend. Stands were hung, lanes were trimmed and paths to the stands were cleaned up. Soon though, we're gonna have to rake the trails because the leaves were starting to change, so Fall isn't but 2 weeks away. I sighted in my brothers Marlin 30-30 for him because he bailed on us this weekend. Had Melissa shoot it too and I was surprised she could actually handle the recoil. I mean a 30-30 isn't much to you and me, but she's a tad on the petite side lol. All of about 95 pounds. And when she was comfortable with it, that made my day. BTW, she hit the bullseye on her first shot at 100 yards. Then my dad brought out an Arizone Iced Tea gallon jug filled with water. I videoed it on her camera and it was soooo sweet! She couldn't stop watching the video over and over again. So I think that if she just buys her tags for this rifle season, she'll be in good shape to kill a deer. I'll see if I can get the pics and the video from her.

Fall turkey opens up here next Thursday, October 1st. I don't have school that day but I may have work. But I'm probably gonna end up taking off because my dad goes in for surgery on his knee that day. He tore his ACL in his left knee and we just got word this morning that the doctor scheduled it for October 1st. Some nerve, huh? :p Scheduling surgery on opening day of Fall Turkey. I'll probably be out with the trusty old 835 though if I make it out for turkey.

So that's pretty much what I've been up to and will be up to for the next week or so.
