Looks like we have the majority of the team checked in now, and hopefully the others will be by soon. I've been out a few times so far and just keep on being outwitted. I watched a real whopper from about 700 yards last evening but no chance to make a stalk as there were numerous others in between us.

Time is on your side...keep after em!!!

I talked to HoytNMuzzyboy (Matt) this weekend. His computer has been down, so he hasn't been on. He said it should be up and runnin this week.

I took out the woman to help me hang a set.....It was the biggest failure i have ever experienced in my life...We just got permission to hunt this property in mid July. Its not much, 4 tree lines that connect 3 huge tracts of timber, with a creek running through it and 2 very small islands of timber. Needless to say, we hiked 2 miles through standing beans, standing corn, crossed a creek which to my suprise ended up having an all muck bottom, which we both sank up to our waist in, and never even found a spot to hang the darn stands...It was BRUTAL!!! i felt like i just got out of a war...and that was by far, hands down, the angriest i have ever seen her in my 5 years of being with her...we hauled 2 hang ons, 25 ft of climbing sticks, a back pack full of crap, machette, and limb clippers all the way through that. The corn is like 10 ft high, beans up to my chest....oh man...it was bad.

going to hang a set tonight at our other spot, which will be a cake walk compared to that excursion.

Good Luck!!

I'd have to agree Dan...that was a bad experience for anyone, let alone for one of our wives. But even with all that...you still need to find the funnel that leads from the bedding area to those crop fields. Shouldn't they be cutting the corn soon?

Good Luck hanging the other stands.

Team...my archery season looks to be a wash for me :(.

I have a torn ACL on my left knee(hurt it at work) and most likely will have reconstruction surgery the 1st week in October. I have made it before to my ground blind during gun season in crutches and dag nab it...I will have to do it again. I kept asking the Dr about mid November and where I would be healing wise. Doc says what is up with Nov? Most worry about the holidays your worried about mid November.

Doc...it is firearms season on deer and I can't bowhunt with this knee...thats why:D. Hes like... Ohhh...I understand. Die hard hunter huh?

I will give it my all team.

This weekend my sons and I will be making sure all our guns are sighted in and we have one more stand to hang and trim a few lanes. I got a cool 2 stroke 12' pole saw to help with that ;).

Wow!!! That is bad news my friend...ACL's are nothing to mess around with. Sorry to hear that. As for now, focus on your healing process after the surgery...the deer will hopefully still be there when you are capable of being mobile again. This is probably the toughest time of the year to get that news, and i really feel for ya. Hopefully your sons will be able to drag you out and get you in a blind for a few days in November. Best of luck to you.

Adjam5, sorry to hear about your ACL. Don't aggravate it, either now or after surgery. Hopefully you will get some hunting time in this year, but be gentle on yourself.

Here's a few points for our team, guys. I was after him through the early archery season (Sept 1-9) but couldn't get in close. This morning he gave me a 150 yard opportunity with the 7mm. I'll get a tag picture and enter him in the scoring thread soon.

Hi guys............well I'm back and was only able to scrap up 5 points for us. I scored on three Doe's and no bucks. It was a great week and seen lots of deer, let a bunch of small 6's and under walk. I did get to full draw on a wantabe 10 point but he bolted as soon as a I tried stopping him at 19 yards. I saw a 140 class 8 point with a 120's 8 taggin behind him, well within bow range but no shot oppertunity. I've still got Ohio this coming November to get a big buck. Good luck to you guys and I will get my photos posted in the entry thread tomorrow or soon after.
