Performed some management yesterday afternoon, I was able to take a nice doe for the freezer, but it wouldn't of been an upgrade, so I didn't bother posting up any pics. Last Sat. afternoon, was amazing though, I saw a huge 12 pointer that was locked on a doe, and wouldn't leave her...but now that I know he's there, I'm hoping he makes it through the shotgun season so I can get a crack at him during the ML season!

Best of luck all!

I sprained my ankle pretty good last sunday and am having trouble getting out. The only place I can get to with wobbling and isent that far is a stand next to a soybean feild and corn feil but cant get to spots where I want to be becouse of this. BUT gun season starts this Sat. and I am getting better and I will go to where I want Sat. Sorry guys I havent been pulling my weight around here. Its hard with cutting crops, working 6 days a week and now the sprained ankle but dont count me out I do some of my best work late in the season.

Shot a monster Sunday morning but couldn't find it. Had The_Kat in a tree 50 yards from me. He witnessed the shot as well and both of us saw a short blood trail in our future....we were both wrong.

Still hunting the rest of this week. Side note: shot a doe last Thursday but didn't have a camera handy. Will shoot another before the end of the year, though.

I am taking tuesday off work and skipping classes monday and tuesday. Heading to my home town of Choteau sunday evening after work and I wil be able to hunt Monday through Thursday. Hopefully i can lay a big boy down in those 4 days. I cant wait to get out of here and have a little break from work and school. Congrats to everyone that has taken a deer and good luck to those who havent.

Awesome job!!! Congrats all, I smoked another doe on Sat, and could of taken a yearling, but let it walk...I'm still looking for something to submit for an upgrade. I think our rut here in CT is winding down, which should mean that those bucks should be up looking for food to regain their strength from the rut....I've got until Dec 31st, still optimistic that I can put one down with some points on it for an upgrade!!!

Finally got my buck this morning after losing a buck tuesday morning. About a 100 yard shot and he only ran 40 yards. 10 points. Super mass and height but not real wide.

In the second pic, mine is on the left and the guy i went hunting with this morning shot the buck on the right. His scored 142" gross.
