Keep them points coming team, Good Luck to all! ~ Van

Still might be able to get out and shoot one or two river bottom whitetail does with my bow if i ever get the time to sight it in. But most likely im done hunting until next October. Lets kill some more monsters guys!

brad dryden
Wait...if I shoot a bigger buck cant I upgrade? I can only shoot one buck a year in Indiana but cant I go to another state and shoot a bigger one and count?
coles
as far as i know you can upgrade. Go for it! No chance at all for me to upgrade. Im done hunting big game for the year. Now onto shooting coyotes, and gophers when they come out. Might get some duck hunting in too
CTBowMan
Yes you can submit an upgrade if you can....we are 8 points from taking the lead!! If MCH, and jkapp01 can each just submit a doe we could take the lead!! I have until the end of Dec, and maybe the end of January here in CT, I'm still looking to improve on my 8 pointer, let's keep the heat on em'!! ~ Van
KirkV
Well guys the last night of gun season and I am afraid I paunch shot a nice buck. I backed out and will look for him after work. Prayers needed! Kirk

CTBowMan
Smart decision to back out and not push him!! Best of luck, and looking forward to seeing him! ~ Van
brad dryden
Im hoping my trail cams pull off I have a buck that's around and has everything tore up just been seeing alot of does and small bucks. I just hope I can catch him during muzzleloader season.
KirkV
Sorry guy's looks like a total miss on him..... I remain a lonely 5 points for my doe.:hammer1:
CTBowMan
Not to worry Kirk, it's just for fun anyway, and not only that we still have time, and a couple guys that can help just by submitting a doe to help us get closer.....keep the faith! Our ML season starts tomorrow, and today is our last day of shotgun here in Connecticut, I plan on hitting the spot where I saw the 12 pt earlier in the year this weekend, the weather is supposed to be very cold combined with a lot of ML hunters in the woods should have the deer moving quite a bit this weekend. ~ Van
MCH
I'm still hunting up until Jan 15th. I will at the least add a doe to the fold but I'm also to the point now that I will harvest a young buck with my bow. I'm a horn hunter to a certain extent, but once it reaches this late in the season, meat becomes the priority.:D
brad dryden
I havent been out but maybe 2 times this muzzleloader season wwith all this rain and wind. I just hate to hunt in the rain when its freezing out makes for a LONG miserable morning.
CTBowMan
The temps in CT are in the teens, the wind makes it feel like it's below 0 here, going to sight in the ML tonight, with the scope, and maybe try to slip out tonight, if not I'll be out there tomorrow, and I'm taking Monday off as well, still in search of the big 12 pt!! Best of luck to everyone who still has tags to try to fill, and let's finish strong!! ~ Van
MCH
Headed back out in the morning for some bowhunting. If it's brown, it's down fellows. Mark my words. A squirrel better not come within 30..make it 40 yards of me.
CTBowMan
Well it's official....I'm good to go here until Jan. 31st in Connecticut, I just picked (received permission to hunt on) up about 2,000 acres that I know has at least one 10 pointer on it, so come Jan, it's back to the bow!! Put em' down!! ~ Van

MCH
Haven't had any luck lately. Am planning on going this weekend. I'm to the point where if its brown, it's down. So I feel sorry for any young bucks that make their way past my stand.

CTBowMan
Performed a little management on Wed..took a nice doe..still got all of Jan left to fill 2 archery tags, trying to get a feel for this new property that I scored, and it looks very promising, found a large rub on a cedar tree on the top of a hill that overlooks a big valley..so I'm going to try to knock this guy off his perch! I hope everyone had a Safe and Happy New Year, and best of luck to everyone for their next coming season when it starts and in next years deer contest! ~ Van

MCH
I'm through. Had my worst season in 10 years. Hopefully, I'll learn something from this season and work extra hard next year.
