Finally was able to go out and bowhunt this season. Saw 4 deer. Two does and button buck twins. They fed under me on the plot for a good hour. Should of whacked the doe but muzzleloader starts saturday so I didn't want to mess the area up.

good luck all. I enjoyed reading all the hunting outings.

Good pics. I didnt make it today, had to carry the girls to gym tonight. Going to get back to my private spot and check the cam, see if I got grass coming up on Friday. Supposed to rain tom and Friday morning, so that should be getting right pretty soon. I'm kinda stuck wanting to hunt that wide 8, but at the same time, I'm dieing to check out things at the camp. Those deer are tearing up the food plots with water oaks dropping in them. Decisions, decsions..... :D

It's Friday, and I dont have to work. Windy and rainy this morning. Going to take kids to school to help my wife out, then go check on my grass progress and trail cam. Depending on what's on the cam, I'll either hunt that place, or go back and pick up the kids and take them to the camp. The plan is to take them to a food plot, put them in the shoothouse, and I'll get in a lock-on in the field where they can watch. I'm just hoping if I do that I can get a shot early, cuz I know they'll get a little nervous as it gets darker (they just turned ten).

Thanks SC. I'm headed back to the camp this afternoon, going to let those bucks just be content for a while till the grass is up just up the hill from all those pics and the rut starts. Small piece of land there, not going to pressure them just to get a chance at a nanny this afternoon. Them bucks will be out soon enough when the rut starts. About to leave now, going to get my cam, cuz I know there's going to be something stuck this afternoon!!!!

haha..... we'll see!

Went out tonight crossing my fingers and to my luck the flooded river was about 4 feet from the bottom of my tree! So needless to say that stand did not workout! The other stand was at top but only saw two deer on way out playing in traffic. Truck about got them! Bad day and will try again tomorrow. Water is going down so might try other stand!

Things slowed down on me this weekend fellas. Fri afternoon saw one big doe but she stayed out of range. Sat afternoon I saw 6 big does pop in the field in range at 6:00. One minute later a stinking yote scared them off, then yesterday saw one big doe and she got spooky about the time I was thinking of shooting her. My buddy also had a black yote come out and run his deer off but he couldnt get a shot on the dog. Need to take some out bad.
