Redneck..we got a doe or not??

:( nope.....

I still cant believe it. Just to run 40 yards, got wobbly and crashed. Walked back up to the house, posted a thread, lol... Knowing, just Knowing I was going to go back in twenty minutes and drag her up. I got a thread in the bow room with the story, then posted another this morning looking for advice. I definitely got some flight issues right now. I'll be shooting today trying to figure this one out. My arrow is gone. After a nice downward angle, the arrow passed through and went up at a nice angle. Ticks me off to lose one!

It happens though! I have never lost any untill two years ago lost two nice bucks and a doe all in one year. You talk about doubting your abilities! I was a wreck! The one moster I found two years later in a nasty thorn thicket the size of an acre! I decided to follow some trails shed hunting and found him butted up to a downfall tree. The other got in the river and then lost him from there. It sure does SUCK!

Well, about to step out the door and go hit the tractor. I can't believe it but got the call last night, one of the guys was already on the tiller, said it wasnt too wet, even after a good rain thurs night. I did manage to get back to the woods yesterday afternoon. Hunted a real long ridge with a lot of white oaks. I saw 7 deer. Had a big doe come by with a yearling and a spike in velvet. Had a small chance at the lead doe, but she was a bit spooked and kept moving at a steady pace. The others were all out of range, does and fawns, and one I couldn't tell, all I could see was a deer moving under an oak about 100 yards away. I hope to get back there this afternoon if we can get the planting done in time.

I've taken my share of hogs, but never with a bow. Would love to take a swack at one. I got back home from planting at 5.30. Won't be able to make it until tom morning. Maybe I'll have something to post then. Season's still early, got plenty of opportunity ahead. I'm just glad we got almost everything planted. Got 80% rain tomorrow. Can't wait till we got a good stand of grass up to expand my hunting opportunities.

Well, went out this morning and saw 8 deer. One very nice buck crossing the river at around 120 yards away! Had one buck come in at 10 yards and I took his picture with cell phone then he walked right to my trail cam. Here he is with a picture of me in the same spot a while later. He was only a 4 point so to small to shoot!

welp boys... put us down for an additional 11 points... I went out this evening hoping to catch something coming in to feed on acorns since it rained all last night and this morning... I knew the deer had to be bedded up so I got in the stand about 3:30 and sat for a while.... I kept watching this one trail that I figured that they would come in on.... to my suprise I head something.... I peaked over my shoulder to find a little 6 point feeding on a mushroom at 10 yds.... I got the trusty hoyt off the ez hanger and hooked up, drew her on back and waited for the perfect shot, he stepped broadside and I sent a montec through both lungs and heart..... he ran about 50 yards and fell in the middle of a dim road about 45 yds from the truck....

Now that i have a little meat, I'm gonna be looking for a touch bigger bonehead... But a doe or 3 might get slaughterd in the process.... lol

I'll try and get pics posted up tommorrow...

If you look on the tree on the right edge you can see my tie down holding my ladder stand! I could of shot the little man but to early for that. That is pass #1 for him. End of November he will die!
