arrow32
Sounds like a great plan Tom. Went out this morning. Thought for sure with all this rain moving they would be up and about thought wrong. This bad mast crop this year is killing me they just are moving the woods. Next time out I'm hunting one of my stands I have down on a field. Been seeing alot in the fields here lately.

arrow32
Got my work schedule there yesterday while at work. I'm able to hunt 4 days this week:D Like I said before will be hunting a field Wensday evening. I think later this evening I'm going to head up to the farm and go up in another property I'm aloud to hunt and see if I find anything better on it than what were seeing on our farm. I know its only a week into the season but I'm really pretty bummed that the action ain't been better. This time last year I had saw shooters and were seeing alot of deer. CampRAGS
Hey guys, between work and some rain storms I have not gotten a lot of time in the woods. Last Wednesday only saw 1 deer in the 3 hours I was in the stand and that was at the crack of dawn. Saturday was a rain out and Sunday I got to see a small button buck and a very small 4 point.. he barley made it to his ears ..then it got a bit warm out.. working all week and will be back out on saturday.. hope you guys have some luck

rhine16
I haven't checked in a while.... Past 2 or so weeks have been a bust for me. Only chance I had to hunt at home, the weather was a bust. Still have not seen a deer on the public land here at school. Find fresh tracks everywhere I hunt, dunno what I'm doing wrong. Supposed to rain through friday here. I'll be home all weekend, hopefully I can upgrade.
Tom2008
Been really busy working 8 hour shifts every day and work and combine that with 4 hours of school and your left with no time for anything! We'll be out Friday Evening, Saturday all day and then I'll for sure be hunting on Monday, Wednesday, and all day Saturday during the Rut in Wisconsin. Pretty pumped about that day. Buddy has seen a lot of 140" and 150" deer.

rhine16
Hope you had a good hunt Cody. I just got home. Won't be hunting this evening as there is a huge line of storms moving across the MS River. Should be showers at daybreak letting loose to clear skies midmorning. I'll try to get in a tree before daybreak and see what happens when the skies break.
arrow32
No good today. The moon killed me. Only saw one doe and she wouldn't come out of the brush story of my life at all my stands. Anyway tonight would have been good with the moon the way it was last night but I have to work. So I'll be back out full force in the morning. Good luck. arrow32
Called it early this morning. Woke up to hight winds got in stand it was suppose to rain today well it poured for hours and still its. With the rain and 20+mph winds I finally got out of stand. Walked up the hillside just to take a quick look and found a nice scrape and some other good deer movement sign. Hate that I had to call it an early day but I don't want to risk getting sick right before the rut kicks in hot and heavy. Also everytime I stood up I had to hang on to the tree so I didn't fall out.LOL
rhine16
Dang, doesn't sound like a fun hunt Cody. I took my recurve and had two does coming to me this morning but they bedded up about fifty yards from me. When they got up two hours later they fed back away from me. I'll be doing it again in a couple hours.

Tom2008
Well nothing is going right anymore. We got bailed on for our hunt of a lifetime. No call, no answer, no return call, no nothing. Very very very disappointing. Kind of thought I knew the person a lot better than that. Decided to go up to the cabin instead. We get there and got all set for the evening and the creek is overflowing and flowing at full blast. Our bridge to cross is gone. Had to make a new one. Took forever and didn't even get to hunt Friday night. Didn't get to hunt Saturday morning due to ice and rain. Sat from 1:00 to 6:30. Saw 3 does and 1 small buck. All too far only because I didn't put the stand in there. Which I was going to do, but we were supposed to be hunting a different place this weekend so I didn't. Feels like my MN season is over with gun opener next weekend. Property gets ruined after that usually. Have WI left and we'll see what happens I guess. Yeah just really in the dumps right now. Was expecting a lot from this weekend. Funny how things change for no reason. A lot I would of done differently this year thats for sure. I'll be feel better once I'm in the tree on Saturday for WI rut.
rhine16
Sorry to hear that Tom. Keep your head up. I took my little brother out with me saturday morning. Had a doe come in and I rushed the shot and misjudged the distance. I guess you always need something to remind you that just because one is down, doesn't mean they all will.
