Hey guys....it has been a long week. I have put in about 12 hours everyday so I have been on hear. On top of that I cant hunt this morning due to the fact I have to work around the house. I am up early to cut the grass and weeds then I got to get my blazer running. I am starting to stress a little bit. I will talk to you guys later.

We had an awesome opening weekend! No deer down, but very eventful. First morning we had the doe and twins we've had on the trail cameras visit both stand sites and that was it for the rest of the day. The next morning was looking up for my stand. The doe and twins came in again and hung out for awhile. I decided to stand up when the doe looked the other way and when she looked back it was like a light switch got turned on. She looked right at me in my stand and blew out of there. I was kind of shocked because I thought I was up high enough. I figured the morning was over and then ten minutes late a couple more does come strolling in. The first one in the shooting lane stopped a dime and started stomping. She spotted me too right off the bat. I didn't even move! Right when she decided to turn around and leave I pulled back my bow and got ready for a shot. She stopped in some brush and I had an opening so I let the arrow fly. There must have been a branch that I didn't see cause I watched the arrow dart off just above her back. I know it hit something on the way there. So I missed my first deer ever, but no big deal. I found out that my stand was way too open. Decided to move it 30 yards over to another tree. Now I'm on the opposite side of the trail the deer are coming in on and brushed in well. We're going to try and go up for the day on Saturday. Going out to Wisconsin tonight on to a buddy's property. I'll try and bring back som pictures.

Just got back in from hunting guys. Didnt get anything...didnt see anything. Turns out our fish and game plant random food plots on the public lands now. So far we have found a corn field and today sugar cane, both in wierd area. We found a massive trail coming from the hills down to the cane. Did we set up there,no. We went with our guts and moved low to a fresh cut field that is full of clover. Good spot just no movement today. Oh yeah my buddy lost the monster 9. He didnt want to even hunt today but I talked him into it. He hit it far back and lost blood. He looked all day yesterday with little luck. He got back on blood and went 200yards. It started to get that nasty brown gut shot color and then was gone. So yeah he is kinda sick right now.

Well of course I could of smoked a Wisconsin doe tonight if I only had a tag. I talked my parents into getting me an early christmas gift though. It looks like I'll be getting a Wisconsin doe and buck tag for archery season. :D Pictures from tonight sitting over a turnip field. The buddies I was with saw 14 other deer, but none within range. Was a good night for us.
