Very unfortunate weekend for us again. Saw 9 Saturday morning. The last doe I had a good shot at so I took it. She was at 27 yards and I put the my 20 just on her back which would put the 30 right at her heart. Which technically means I should of hit lungs. Well luck was not with me and I have no idea what happened. The arrow hit really high and just under spine. Arrow did not pass through. Waited over an hour and looked for blood. Had pretty good blood for about 50 yards than she stopped. Blood was a plenty where she stopped after that there wasn't much at all. Found a drop 10 yards to the left that went for 5 yards. Than couldn't find any more. We searched for a good 2 hours and nothing. We gridded and nothing either. Didn't feel so good after that so I didn't go out in the afternoon. Lost a $22 arrow/broadhead and more importantly lost a deer. It sucks. :(

Hey guys just about to hit the bed, man did have a a good weekend though. Well could have been better, no deer, but we went to a new location that morning and deer were moving pretty good. To bad they moved right below us to the corn fields. We decided to move down and got busted by a doe coming out of the field. My buddy did get a shot off at her before she ran but went right under her. We went to a high wall over looking the field and the hunt turned into a spot and stalk. I found a shooter in the field and we started moving. Down the hill side we ran to a path where we made our way to the old pond bed. He was just on the other side of the old dam. I came to full draw and peeked over. Nothing, he was gone. That brought the morning to an end. After a 4 hour nap we hit it again. This time we hit the fiel I have been dreaming of. After a quick scout of the place we found decided to set up in the flood plains. Tracks everywhere one set set my soul on fire. They where almost the size of my hand. Some small tree were already tore to shreds. But not a thing walked by us that night. But cool weather has hot hard so this weekend in my mind is when I bring one home. By the way my friend Matt got to shoot a buck tonight and make up for the one he lost. He said it wasnt as big but was wide. I taled to him a little after 9:00pm and he was just starting to track it. He said he had real good blood this time so I am waiting on a call any second. But I will talk to you guys again as soon as I can.

Well, I saw no deer on either sitting. Saw several on the way to my spot this morning and several on the way back from hunting tonight. They can afford to do that with the full moon I guess.

Suppose to have some storms roll through tonight and in the morning.... Won't hurt my hunting cause I have class in the morning. I'll be on my favorite food plot tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully a nanny will come in for some oats and clover. ;)
