Dakota he is over 30 inches, I have 2 that are right at 30 inches and this guy is quit a bit wider, just wish his v's were a bit better, exellant beams, nice mass super width, just lacking on hieght and v's a bit, the thing that gets me is when they are so wide the forks look smaller , looking at tthe pics it looks lke they all are around 8 inches, I put his beams at 25, g 1 prob 1, g2, the way they curve about 15, g3 and 4 at 8, thtats 57, at least 22 inches of mass, that is 79, 79 plus 79, is 158,25 inch inside, that is 183, gross, I say I would be close, I think if I get a look tonight it will be in the truck bed, I will let you know!! sureshot
I have my recurve for whitetail in the blind, I can only hunt it night becouse I have to go through the field to get to it, I will only shoot to 15 yards with the stone broadheads, I went after thsi buck tonight and he was exactly wereI figured, only prob was it was so calm he heard me getting in position to wait him out, I did manage to watch him head to the next draw and after a few cactuses in the socks I got to within 30 yards or so of his antler tips,he came out at 40 yards and I could not get him to turn for a shot, he went onver the hill and when I got to the top could not see him so I left, did not want to push him to the next province, when driving spotted a nicelooking buck in a area were I have seen a solid 180 class typ with a sticker, I planned the stock and got within 25 yards of a good 155 inch typ, he was in the freezer but I have lots of them on the walls, so I watched him head over the hill, on the way back had 4 does and fawns within 35 yards but decided to let them walk till the weekend, witht he 85 degree weather I would of had to debone it tonight and I am tired, 3 day weekend so I will get a arrow bloody hopefully, nice now becouse they finally allow sunday hunting, I will ahve no days of rest now lol!!tomorrow night I will be abck after the big guys, going to sleep in tomorrow just to long of a day up at 4 am then working all day then back out till 9 or so,

sureshot
was in the hills at 530 am this morn, waited till daylight and seen him off a way, got within 300 yards laying on a hill and watched him bed in a perfect location, strong wind and draw right below him, then a doe white and fawn came over the hill walked right by him and fed below him 40 yards, right were I ahve to creep up, all I could do was watch as they fed, finally after about a hour they fed off another draw giving me a perfect access rought, I made the stock and got within a 100 yards of the draw he was hiding behind and seen the bloody whitetails below him again, then I could see antlers going up the hill, he walked over the hill, I ran to the top and seen him head into a draw that there is no way I hunt with the wind the way it is today, I believe he was ticked off at all the movement from the whitetail doe, I came back to try and stick her with a doe tag but she was gone, go figure lol!! the draw he is in right now is a narrow draw with cutbanks on the one side and heavy brush on the other,it runs south east the same direction as the wind, he will prob be bedded on the cutbanks with a few sage brush, that way he can smell perfect and see the open side no matter what way I came in, I guess he could be bedded on the bushy side giving me a chance but I do not want to spook him, still have a good chance at him in a pasture I am really beginning to learn well!I still have not seen the big non typ I was actually first after, have seen lots of 150 class and did see a big non typ yest morn but it is in a area were they got tons of rain and skeeters are so bad I could not even stay out more than a few minutes without getting eaten aliive, today abotu a40 mph wind so might go still hunt his area, nap time now, yesterday did a 16 hour day hiking , today rest up for tomorrow lol!
