Tom2008
Well payments on this truck are just too much for me and I'm tired of having no extra money. Yes I know that is life and everyone is in that same boat, but there is a solution to the problem. Going to be trading in the truck for an ok car with good gas mileage and less payments a month. The car has less mileage too. The specs. of the truck are as follows: 2008 Chevy Silverado Work Truck Standard Cab, Short Bed 2WD No power anything I've been driving it for a little over a year and we were expecting to get $9,500 for it or up to $10,500. The test driver comes up to us and says he'll give us $11,300 for the truck. Yeah I'll miss the truck, but atleast now I'll be building up my own credit and not my moms and my own insurance. I'm pretty excited about it so I thought I'd share. Thanks for reading. Tom
OJR
There are times when a person has to do some drastic things! Good luck with the car!

I give you props, others would have just stuck with it and would be miserable. You made the right choice, your be happy when you got some extra green in your pocket. GWSmith
Sounds like an Intelligent decision to me that you have no reason to be ashamed of...not everybody makes the right choices like you have.
woolybear
With the money you'll save get yourself a carcass carrier so's not to bloody up your interior.(looks suspicious when you get pulled over a week later-trust me) You'll get along just fine with a car, I did it for years myself. redkneck
Man ya gotta do what ya gotta do these days. Good luck with the kia. You can always put a set of mud grips on the front of it. :clown:
MUDRUNNER
I know the feeling. I sold my truck in the spring to get out from the payment, and save a little money for our property taxes. Luckily I had enough money leftover after paying it off to get a decent truck that's a few years older.
ShortDraw
Possibly a KIA Spectra. Still looking though. Never thought I would veer away from trucks. Haha don't worry about it man. I had a 97' F250 Powerstroke that was lifted on 38's with stacks and the whole works...sold it when I moved for a Honda Accord. Life sucks when you don't have a truck sometimes but i make out ok. just put a tarp in the trunk for the dead stuff:hammer1:
bluelund79
Gotta do what you have to do brother. Do yourself a favor and look around-a good used Corolla or Civic may be a little better choice than a Kia from a reliability stand point. I used to sell them. My wife has a Corolla that I bought her new in '04, put nothing on it but tires and normal maintenance so far. On the bright side, your buddies won't ask to use your truck to help them move...J/K
92xj
Why not Private sell the truck and then purchase in full a mid pre 95 Toyota mini truck or 95-2002 tacoma? That way you will still have a truck and then you will have something that gets decent gas mileage and have 0 monthly payments instead of lower ones. Seems like a win win win situation to me. Truck, gas mileage and no payments.
arrow32
Do what you got to do. I'm back to driving the car and was looking to get myself a truck here this fall. It'll do for now. Can't find anything at $8,000 with 19,000 miles. Everything is either 35,000+ and higher priced.
Randy
I feel your pain brother, this divorce is killing me. I'm dumping the truck for a 2007 Grand Prix. I got a heck of a deal on it and if your interested in some details, send me a pm. I know someone that may be able to help you get even a better deal.
