Tominator
Pics? Every fall they used to somehow get in under out front door and run across our living room floor. Cats loved it, I used to wig out for the first few years it happened. Last few years I wouldn't even get off the couch. Suck it up buttercup. WHISKEYSWAMP
spider season is almost here... I kill about 100-200 wolf spiders that like to winter in my garage each year... although the population seams to be going down year after year. I've heard that osage oranges are a good spider repellent so I may set a couple up near my garage door and in my crawl space... can't hurt to try. We have a ton of osage orange trees on my buddy's property behind my house. http://www.gpnc.org/osage.htm
arrow32
Heres some pics after I smashed it oh I'd say about 15 times with a shoe. Then through it at it just to make sure it was dead:D It had some major ground shrinkage when I got up to it to take the pics. So I guess it wasn't quite so big. Doe-ee
That looks pretty huge to me. Is it a wolf spider? We've had some the size of our hand! Once I managed to put an empty coffee can over one just waiting for Steve to get home to kill it. When he got home and lifted off the can.......IT WAS GONE! A few years before that, we had one chase our german shepherd around the living room. I taught him to shred them to death. Wish I still had that dog. We've been told that we have a species of tarantula that live in the tops of old growth timber on the west coast of the island here and actually EAT birds! I'm with you....I hate spiders. They're even creepy to look at dead.:bat:

OJR
I thought it was something BIG! What a shame to kill something so small! LOL!! I think all I see on the forums is a bunch of people who are nothing but "WIMPS"! First it is a little snake, now it is spiders! What next? LMBO! Tominator
What a sis. I'm ok with spiders as long as they don't surprise me. If I see them first, no biggie, if they surprise me, man I turn into a little girl.

Rem308
You can call me what you like but that thing was a monster. I can't vouch for that one, but earlier this summer I was taking a trip on the New River...a low hanging branch hit my open-window and a BIG river spider fell in. He landed on my wrist and tried to steal my watch! Luckily I managed to flail my hands and stomp him, a technique I've mastered. He was a whopper!
